Anyone know their blood type?

Contributor: Anne Anne
I will probably never know mine until I'm pregnant, or overcome my anxiety issues when giving blood (never been successful at giving blood, and its frustrating). What are you? Do you know your blood type?

I was the last person in my household to find out their blood type, which is odd in a military family since most people know their blood type. I found out I was A- in college and was proud to have a fairly uncommon blood type. Too bad I can't donate.

What interesting is that in Japan, they base personalities off blood type like we do the zodiac. It's just too bad there are so many fewer blood types than zodiac.

I am B+. I know that because I donate blood often and when I was pregnant; they told me it was important to know it. My hubby is O-, which means our children have a 50% chance of being O or B. The red cross has good information about this.

I'm O+. Funny thing is, I was a huge medical geek when I was in high school, and I was upset I wasn't O- so I could be a universal donor.

I'm O positive. My boyfriend is A positive. Most of my immediate family is O positive, except my mum, who is O negative.

A+. I either found out back in high school when I first tried donating blood (didn't work), or was undergoing a lot of medical testing at the time.

B+ - about 8.5% of people in the US have this blood type.

I'm O+, so I donate as frequently as possible (doubles, when I can). About 39% of the population is O+, and many other types can use O+ blood.
