Are you interested to know who the new Pope will be?

Contributor: spiced spiced
In case you missed it, for the first time since 1415, a living Roman Catholic Pope has resigned. The College of Cardinals are in the process of decided who will be the next Bishop of Rome (aka Pope).

Does this matter to you? If so, what do you hope for from the next Pope?

I don't care at all, except for all the pope jokes that we can make about it.

It's all BS, anyway. With such a public forum the papacy could do so much, and they waste it.

I'm really excited about this. I've studied Catholicism for a while, dropped out of RCIA a few years ago. . .

Vaguely, the Papacy is pretty irrelevant to me.

I used to be catholic, but I don't think I would have ever cared for the updates on who holds such an irrelevant position. Same institution, new (or rather, often OLD) face.

i'm not catholic...and non-religious, but i do care. i hope it's someone who recognizes that gay human beings are in fact human beings. also, someone who calls out all of those deviant criminals hiding out in the church. not that i think all priests are deviants...not at all. but, it's a shame that the church does not do more to filter.

I was born and raised in the south of Germany which is a Catholic region. The Pope / the church has a lot of influence on the way people think. As well as in other countries like Poland or catholic Africa.

I would support the idea of having a black left-wing pope who supports condoms and social equality.
