So when you are on that long vacation or visiting far away places and you have the urge for breakfast, which of the following restaurants do you set your sights on? I am thinking about pancakes, waffles, maple syrup, hash browns, omelets, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, and great coffee too! Consider both the value (cost) and the quality of the food served without the guilt of calories!
From your experience, which one(s) serves the best breakfast???
Man I wish we had a Bob Evans in my town. I used to have one when I lived in Maryland and their strawberry waffles and scrambled eggs were the /best/. Nowadays I think of iHop or a local chain called The Good Egg when I think of breakfast.
Oh, and there's also when my partner makes me breakfast which is the best breakfast ever.
Mmm...Waffle House. I could eat there every single day of my life...and not just for breakfast. Any time of the day. I know some people consider them to be "greasy spoons," but I think they have great food and a friendly and talented staff. Have you ever watched and listened to a Waffle House crew? It is like live theater!

I'd kill for IHop. (iHop?) They have the best pancakes. We also have a local place around here that serves awesome pancakes. Now I want pancakes. Thanks a lot!

I voted for Dennys, but IHOP is great too. Some of the local "greasy spoons" have great breakfasts too! At home, Sunday morning is Big Breakfast morning. Omelets, waffles, French toast, pancakes, eggs any way, sausage, bacon, OJ and V8, and Pete's whole bean coffee! Not all of the above at once, though!
I love a good breakfast almost anywhere, but I have to say that IHOP and Dennys always hits the spot for me.

I remember having breakfast at Shoney's once when we were driving across the country. There are none around here, which has me so sad - their breakfast potatoes were the best. I'm drooling just thinking about them.
When we travel (as in a vacation rather than moving or getting to a destination) we prefer to find a local place for meals, so have eaten from little hole in the wall places to fancy upscale restaurants. Oddly, the hole in the wall places will usually have the best food.

Cracker Barrel is the BEST!!! I love it!
My first choice definitely, you can't beat the price and the food is always great.
I actually always order breakfast there even if it's dinner time.
I feel like kind of a snob for saying this, but not a single chain restaurant on that list sounds overly-appealing. Don't get me wrong, I love the occasional McDonald's sausage biscuit, or even some Denny's or Shari's now and again, but when I think breakfast, I'd much rather hit up any number of mom and pop places.
Actually, a lot of the places listed don't even have any locations anywhere near me.
