I love both. I've noticed more personality in my family's dogs than in our cats, though. Dogs are a little more involved.

Dogs are definitely a better pet. Cats tolerate people, but dogs love people. It's all in their nature and how they developed into the pets we have today.

definitely dogs. I have two of them. I like cats sometimes but I am allergic to them so I can only be around them for a few minutes.

I love both cats and dogs. I just love animals. I voted cats because my cat is my baby. She is so loving. She follows me everywhere I go in the house. I love how she supervises everything I do, and cries when she wants me to hold her. She also sleeps with me and likes to snuggle under the covers. When my dog was still alive my cat loved him too.

Cats. They are far smarter than dogs. Also, from an evolutionary stand point, cats are pretty much the perfect predator. You have to respect that. Except for size and domestication, house cats are really no different than their larger cousins.

I voted cats, but I love dogs too. They're different though, and I think each give their own kind of animal love. Just like you need friends as well as a partner or spouse, you need cats as well as dogs to fulfil those diferent needs!

I didn't vote because I have and love both. One is not really better than the other in my book. I love my cats even though they eat my plants and puke on my tile floor. I love my dogs even though they dig up my yard and one of them still eats furniture. Gotta have my dogs big though. No little yippy things for us. We have children for that. We have an old as dirt Golden Retriever and a Black Lab puppy. Our cats are just cats regular cats. They think they are royalty and that we should treat them as such. Basic cat behavior. One we got as a kitten from my mom's stray that had a litter in the garage and the other a stray that showed up on our front porch about 6 months after we got the other one.
