My late wife was to my eyes drop dead gorgeous and very smart but... she became crazy and mean. She turned my life into a living hell. For a partner now I still like smart but I'll take sane and nice over looks any day!

A kind spirit or positive personality have a huge pull for me; my ex-husband was smart but mean, so now mean-spirited people to me look like him and make me want to run for the hills. My favorite ex never came off as super smart, but he was so gentle, caring, and genuine, I found that crazy hot. I've seen lots of guys since that are objectively more attractive, but I've never seen anyone else I'd rather spend a day/night/lifetime with.

If you love someone that makes them sexy. So the average guy/girl goes from a 5 to a 9. An unintelligent or self-centered person who is amazing to look at can easily go from a 9 to a 5 in a hurry.

Looks are definitely not everything my ex was gorgeous but his personality made him so unattractive but now I'm w/ someone that is not the typical kind of guy looks wise I'd be w/ but he has an amazing personality and that just makes him so dang sexy to me I'd def say personality over looks!!

It's nice for someone to be hot, BUT if they're a terrible person it isn't worth it. I'd prefer someone nice and smart over someone beautiful.
