My hubby can get slammed, poked, pounded and bashed...and never shows anything five minutes later. Me? I bump into the corner of the kitchen counter or the dog (we have big dogs) jumps on my leg and BINGO...a big black and blue bruise.

No, I am not anemic, my clotting studies are all normal, and I am not deficient in Vitamin K or iron...I just "bruise easy". I have had a superb hematologist, I happen to know well, even confirm there is nothing wrong inside. In fact, I have a black belt in Karate, so you can imagine, I have bruised my whole life..and competing in that sport, well, I had my share of purple spots.

I do. Sometimes I find them on me and I don't even remember how they got there or what I could've done to get them. I heard that anemic people bruise easier than others so that explains my problem.

Yes, I do bruise easily aside from hickeys. It's odd and cracks me up when I'm with my boyfriend. You have to work super hard to give me a hickey but if I just bump into something I'll have one. I have mystery bruises on my legs right now.

im a redhead so everything shows up on my skin extra easy. bruises. hickey's and scratches that don't even pierce the skin.

I also find random bruises on me, and I don't always know how I got them. As far as I know, I'm not anemic. I am accident prone, however, so I've always got a bruise on me somewhere.

We are like you. My wife is fair skinned and bruises easily. I have darker skin and do not bruise as easily - although I do bruise more easily now than I did as a young man.

Other because I don't really bruise easily, but I do bruise more than rarely, so I'm in between.

I bruise very easily and constantly have little bruises on my legs that I can't place. I hate how they look, but boy thinks they make me look more human and real and he thinks they're cute.

I'm quite the klutz, but only certain things seem to leave bruises...so I wouldn't really say I bruise easily.

Usually I only get bruises if I bump into something really hard, which led once to an odd, bar shaped bruise on my thigh when I bumped into one of the tables. xD

Nope, if I bruise, something hit me really hard. I used to play soccer and it would take some hefty bashes on my shin to get a bruise and not that often
