Do you calorie count?

Contributor: 12345678 12345678
Do you count calories during the day or just eat what you like? Personally I try to eat only when hungry and stop when full, I don't get obsessive about numbers. Curious what others philosophies are in this regard!

I use an app to keep track of what I eat, but I don't count calories.

No. I'm happy with the food I eat and the amount I eat. There's no way I'm gonna keep track of all of that. I have a fast metabolism, and I'm fairly sure that my daily caloric intake is more than recommended.

I count them not because I limit but because I actually need to get in more to gain some weight..

I try to keep track, but I find it's easier just to limit the amout of bad things instead. Like sticking to what the package says is the serving size.

I've done it before... but it's nothing I'm ever going to stick with.. so instead, I just eat really slow and pay more attention to when I'm actually full.

Not at all- my intake varies greatly from day to day. My metabolism is pretty good at evening things out.

I use to count servings of carbs in high school. My endocrinologist told me not to exceed 12 servings a day. That's 180 carbs a day. It was a hard life.

I sometimes check calories on things I eat just to make sure the serving size doesn't have a ridiculously high number of calories, but otherwise I don't really pa attention to it.

I never count calories; I'll probably starve to death if I follow calories guidelines.

I used to be a little obsessive about counting calories. I kept myself below 1200 daily. It was the only way I was ever able to maintain my weight.

I judge by how my clothes fit. I also know when I've over done it and will back down for a day or two.

I think that is a good idea, but I don't do it.

I don't because I eat somewhat healthy foods and I don't eat much, weigh 93 pounds so it's not necessary. I like to eat healthy for actual health, not weight loss and I enjoy a lot of healthy foods, but I also eat not-so healthy things and enjoy them too. As for calorie counting, I never do it. I highly doubt that I ever go over the average daily amount though!

I do but then I forget to so it's pretty pointless that I even try. I just can't keep it up.

I don't bother counting calories, partially because I'm lazy and partially because life's too short to worry about counting calories. I just try to eat in moderation and not go overboard.

No because 1) it would consume way too much time and 2) I believe "good" vs "bad" calories and insulin are much more important than the calorie number.
