Never realized people felt strongly about this. After a party tonight, where people were discussing bedroom slippers, the topic came up and people actually feel very passionate about their choices in this matter.

I found it pretty amazing.

SO....do you go barefoot around your own home or do you wear slippers or socks when at home? Any specific reason for your choice? If you have a significant other, do they do the same???

I tend to wear slippers. We have tile floors and my tootsies get COLD. My hubby tends to wear socks around the house. Says he feels more comfortable that way, even though he has "cute" feet for a guy (very well manicured and nice skin actually).

SO, what about YOU?

I usually wear socks. I have hardwood floors and they get cold.

I'm pretty much always barefoot.

I think it's amusing that TV always shows people wearing shoes at home. I can't imagine doing that!

I generally always wear my shoes and socks all of the time when I am home. I would guess that this comes from stories told by my Mother when I was young, as well as living in Texas, and having seen scorpions in the house as I grew up. I realize that they can damage a carpet, but since I also have high arches, I wear shoes. With the high arches, going barefooted causes my feet to hurt after a short time of walking around.

I will wear socks or slippers sometimes. When I get too warm, I just take them off and go barefoot.

I walk barefoot in my room because I keep the floor clean myself, but the people who live in the rest of the house are gross and I won't walk anywhere else without shoes.

If it's warm, I wear nothing on my feet. If I'm cold I'll wear socks. I hate wearing shoes of any sort.

Not when you actually learn about the bacteria and fungi that can be cultured off the bottom of MOST shoes!!!

When I'm at home with Sigel I usually wear socks or even full on shoes but Arch is a foot fetishist so at home with him I must remove shoes or face having them removed from me.

Always barefoot, I hate things on my feet even outside. I will try to go as long as I can before actually putting on shoes. I do where shoes to the store.

Our home is on par with the majority in Alaska. It is considered rude or impolite to not take off your shoes upon entering someone's home. We rarely wear shoes inside, if anything we wear slippers which have never been worn outside.

i go barefoot most of the time b/c i like being barefoot. sometimes when it's a little cold in my apartment in the winter, i may wear fluffy socks or slippers. it's really not that big a deal to me.

Barefoot. I hate feeling something between me and the floor. But if it's really cold, I'll give into socks or in very rare cases slippers. Never actual shoes though. Shoes come off the second you're in the door.
