Do you like shaved arms?

Contributor: Trashley Trashley
For the boys or any fellow sapphically inclined females, do you prefer your women to have shaved arms? Not armpits shaved, but like the entire arm shaved? And women, do you like to shave your whole arms? Or wax them, for that matter?

My hair's blonde on my arms anyways, so it'd just be more stubbly and icky I think than sexy for a day.

I prefer naturally. My arm hair is blonde and I already am tired of shaving that need to be shaved, haha. A girl I went to middle school with shaved her arms and I just thought it was pointless.

Doesn't shaving make it grow back thicker anyway? That would mean you could never skip shaving them again, ew. I'd prefer natural.

I hate most body hair. Smooth is the way to go. I don't really care about my guys since it is light but dark hairy arms would bother me. My arm hair is also blonde and light so it isn't noticeable and doesn't bother me, but I sometimes buzz them during the peak of my tanning season to get a more even lotion application. It is an electric shaver that doesn't go allllll the way down like a metal one does. I only do this like 4 times a year.

I wouldn't shave my arms because it is more noticeable and annoyingly prickly when it grows back. However, I would love to have a series of full-body laser hair removal treatments done for permanent smoothness! I would prefer not to have any hair whatsoever anywhere below my lower eyelashes.

Honestly, I never thought about it! Guess shaving my arms is way off my radar screen. My hair is light and sparse on my arms and I spend enough time shaving my legs, armpits and pubes.
Wax my arms?? No way!

I do not, and I do not want my partner to either. Shaving the arm hair only makes it grow in worse, and it makes the arms feel odd too.

I hate having hair on my body so I shave everything off, entirely. I'm very fair and blonde so you really can't even see it when it grows in, I just don't like the way it feels. As for my partners, I like women trimmed neatly and men pretty much natural as long as they keep things neat and aren't excessively hairy.

It has never occurred to me to shave ARMS. I don't get it. We are primates, we have as many hair follicles as chimpanzees or gorillas. I understand legs, I guess, but arms? Our bodies are covered with hair follicles, fighting every one of these IS a losing battle. It's like saying "I hate skin."

It's just the way we are made.

My friend shaved hers once, the hair grew back all weird and spikey for a while.

My husband trims his because he has dark hair that gets curly so he trims it down to what he considers "normal" and I really do have to say it looks pretty natural. My own arm hair is super light so I wouldn't even think of shaving them.

I don't shave or worry about my arms. Yeah I have dark-haired arms, but eh, why do more work than i have to?

Personally my arms have blonde hair, and it wasn't uber thick, but I shave my arms now because I just think that they look better shaved. I stay on top of keeping them shaved so I don't worry about the prickles.

The main reason I shaved them to begin with was because when in I was in High School, I played flute in Marching Band. We'd be out literally in heat-advisory weather (where the weathermen would practically beg you to stay in). Learning and practicing our Marching shows during band camps and practices which were during the peak of the summer heat. We were always looking for ways to stay cool, so I decided to shave my arms to see if that would help me stay at least a little cooler outside (weird reasoning, I know, but it kind of worked, lol). And out of habit and aesthetics, I kept them shaved.

For me, I see my arm hair like my leg hair, not very appealing. I like being relatively hairless (with exception to my Eyebrows/lashes, and of course the hair on my head. No way in hell I'm shaving those, especially my waist-length hair, lol. Took years to grow!)

But that's just my opinion, I don't see other people's body hair unappealing at all, but keeping myself shaved is just my thing, I guess

I do keep my legs and a good part of my pubes shaved, when I saw this I thought, "Oh shit, one more fucking ridiculous Beauty Standard that I have to waste time on, if it catches on and then becomes "expected."" I am NOT doing it. People have the right to do what they want with their bodies, but when something becomes a "Standard" it becomes difficult to fight the norm. I think I spend enough of my precious time in the shower or bath removing hair, I'm not starting on an OTHER body part.

That's all.

I have always had mixed feeling about it. For a long time I thought shaved arms were kind of weird, not many people I knew did it. But then I found myself admiring them.

Fairly recently, I realized I was comparing the arms of two brothers one day. One brother shaves to show off his muscles and tattoos better. I found myself preferring the cleaner arms. The fuzzier brother is my significant other. I find him much more attractive than his brother, but his brother does take greater care in his grooming and I wish it was something my significant other would pick up.

After that day, I started shaving my arms. It's blond, but I have quite a lot for a girl. I think it makes my arms look better in photos, and I'm frequently in the kind where "natural" isn't a good fit. But my arms also look more thin now--they were described as bony before.

Actually, slightly furry arms are some sort of turn on for me; not a porno turn-on, more like eyebrow raising piqued interest.

It NEVER occurred to me that the reason those Muscle Guys were so sleek was that they shaved. That's how much insight I have into Men's Grooming Rituals. My Man shaves the part of his face that his goatee doesn't cover (and complains about doing that) and showers and runs a brush through his hair once a day, whether he need it or not. He uses no "Product" or anything on his body or hair. Just soap. He even shampoos with body wash, or takes a bath with shampoo, so he doesn't have to open two bottles. He's a low maintainence dude. (I make up for the two of us.when it comes to Maintainence.) (Why does that word look weird?)

I am not familiar with Men's Grooming all that much. My Man has very little body hair, some on his pubes, obviously, and the bottom of his back, just a little. Very little on his chest and arms. His upper arms are completely hair free, so his tattoos and muscles are just there. It never occurred to me that men would shave, but it makes sense, because all those Muscle Guys have totally bare arms.

It was like an Insight, it really never occurred to me.

I wrote other, because while I dont prefer shaved arms, I do not like hairy arms. So, I would say I prefer my men non-hairy... (fine hair is fine)

I'm pretty much whatever about hairy arms. Even when I regularly shaved certain areas (crotch, legs, underarms) I never shaved my arms. As for a partner, I don't really have a preference yet, but that might change once I start actually dating someone. lol

I basically have no use for hair on my body other than my eyelashes, eyebrows, and the hair on my head. That being said, I have very thin, light-colored hair on my arms and I don't shave it. My sister has pale skin and dark hair on her arms so she either bleaches or waxes.

I'm ok with guys having hair, though I prefer to avoid the wolfman.

I bleach it once a month or so. But shave them? With everything else I have to take care of in the shower? No. My water heater would give out before I'd get to my arms.

Nah. I did once and noticed it made my arms look fat. Seriously. They looked like swollen, cooked hot dogs with elbows. Plus the prickles when the hair grew back gave me a rash and I was itchy. I've learned to live with and embrace my hairy arms *self hug*.

when I get rid of arm hair I wax it off. I find its really not painful its fast and u don't have littel black dots. I hate how my arm hair is noticeable. It's not black and really long like some ppl's who look real hairy and dark...but I think it looks better without..I think legs waxed, armpits, brazilli an wax is the way to go unfortunatly don't have money to do that I used to do it..well when my phone contract is up I might have to treat myself once in a while to a night saloon visit the one I go to had an opening at 6pm!

I never really thought about it for cosmetic reasons. I had a few male friends who did it, but they were swimmers and competitive bicycle racers, so it made sense.
