I don't think the world will end this year, I sure hope not anyway as I'm only 23! One never knows, but I think we will all be here in 2013.

Nah it won't... I still wonder how come some people don't have the interest to do some research and see finally that the Mayans didn't mean such a bullshit at all, but something entirely different! At least I hope so! ~lol

I find it odd that when people think 'apocalypse', they place 'end of the world' and 'the wiping out of humanity' as the same thing. They're not really synonymous. Anyway, I don't think either will come to pass this year.

It's like the Y2K "scare"...people running about buying huge generators, stocking up on "survival food kits", and enough TP and water bottles to supply Africa for several life times! (I know a person or 2 that haven't bought any TP in over 10 years, lol.)

I didn't vote. I of course do not wish anything bad to happen. But I've been reading predictions made by a popular Chinese Astrologist (who got last year's Japanese earthquake correct), he said something similar will happen along the south to southeast Asia area and even affect the west coast of the U.S. around May 20, 2012 (solar eclipse), and also another bad prediction that might happen around Nov 28, 2012 (lunar eclipse). The second prediction coincides with the 2012 Apocolypse we've been hearing all along, so I really don't know what's going to happen. I'll probably stock some bottled water and dry foods, and food for my poodle when those two dates are near.

Nah. I think it's kind of pointless to think about anyway, since if the world is really going to just OMG TOTALLY BE DESTROYED, then there's nothing we can do about it anyway, right? So, why stress about it?

I read somewhere before that December 21st of this year is just when the Mayans predicted that it was the end mark of a certain cycle/era that they based their calendar system off of.
