I was reminded of when we were kids and my mom, who was always BIG on vegetables and fruits, would make us "ants on a log" so that we'd want to eat celery!

Do any of you eat ants on a log or is this something other people do? Incase you don't know, ants on a log is a stick of celery with peanut butter swiped down the dip in the stalk and then little raisins lined up in the peanut butter -- ants on a log! Lol. How cute?

I remember how my sister and I would get so excited at the thought of eating ants, until we seen that it was only raisins. Strangely enough though, ants on a log are actually kind of good. I wouldn't choose it over a good ol' Kit Kat or gummy worm, but it's kind of tasty.

I've had it, and I didn't like it at all. I just can't stand the taste of celery.

I like those too! A lot of the time, though, our logs had snow - cream cheese instead of peanut butter.

I always preferred celery filled with cream cheese. I ate apple wedges with peanut butter. No raisins on either.

xD My mom used to make me ants on a log all the time! It's weirdly tasty. Now I wouldn't choose it over fruit or a nice pb&banana sandwich, but it's still good.

I loved the food, just hated the name. I don't get the CUTE part of nasty names....like WORMS IN MUD (gummy worms in crushed up Oreo's).

Good celery hearts are 99% texture and almost no "taste". However, it has lot of chlorophyll and is good for breath and has other weight loss benefits (burns more calories to digest then it adds to diet).

I've never had it, but it was common in my family. I don't make them for my daughter, but she's not even 3 yet.

I used to love them--cannot eat them anymore due to my dentures--car wreck knocked my teeth out. My hubby loves them, too!!

Girl Scout camping staple snack. Have eaten several over the years. Another way we do them is with Cheeze Whiz, with so many peanut allergies anymore have to be careful.

I love that. I brought some celery for something else and I remembered I had peanut butter. I also had my daughter try it for the first time. I don't think she was too thrilled with it.
