This question has been asked for generations. My father and I both believe we have seen UFOs and that they walk among us. What are your views?

My dad and I swear we have seen UFOs and we drove the area 51 highway and saw some dude walking around in the middle of nowhere and we saw no cars left in the sides of the roads! No human could have been that far out when its that hot without a car!

I think it's next to impossible that we're the only planet with life on it in the entire universe, but I don't believe any aliens have ever come to earth.

While there may not necessarily be intelligent life elsewhere (good chance there is, though), it would probably be naive to think that, at the very least, microbes of some sort don't exist someplace other than Earth.

I think that there has to be something out there. To think that we are the only form of intelligent life in our universe or even our galaxy is just naive and arrogant. If we can exist and evolve, whos to say that there aren't similar beings out there.

I believe, in this vast cosmos of ours, to think other life forms don't exist is relatively stupid. -shrug-
Countless solar systems and planets with suns etc etc why would we just happen to be the only planet capable of sustaining life?
Ridiculous and illogical.
However, I also don't believe just because something is 'out there' doesn't mean it's super-highly-advanced and is hiding here on earth. Why would they? There's nothing special here - if they are also higher - intelligence life forms then they would likely be similar to us - psychologically.
Maybe they'd be less media-absorbed though...

Extraterrestrial life is a statistical pseudo-certainty. It's just there. I do not believe any UFO any human has ever seen was an alien spaceship though. It's all just... well, other stuff they couldn't identify. And slowly but surely we are always able to explain more of those claims and pictures anyway. Hell, I'll bet you half of them are just sprites - a rather rare lightning formation that can and has been easily mistaken for some solid object.
Whilst I don't believe there are aliens amongst us in the classical sense I do subscribe to theory we ourselves may be arguably more alien than we thought. Most likely every living creature that ever belonged to our particular evolutionary tree of life was in fact born on earth, but that could have happened after our evolutionary line died out elsewhere and was transported here. There is in fact a very real possibility that the origin of our tree of life does not lie on earth, but on Mars back when it had an atmosphere and magnetic field and the material ended up on earth in what is called the Late Heavy Bombardment. In that case one could argue that in a certain sense we are all from Mars.

As for real aliens, there are probably a billion habitable worlds in our immediate star cluster. There is just no way our tiny plant around a second rate star, in the middle of no where is so unique.
However, any of these "aliens" visiting here? Sorry...the distances are just too mind boggling. If anyone had the technology to get here, we would see them daily, and not a glimps in the sky, or a shadow in the woods. They would be so technologically ahead of us, they would no sooner hide from us then we do from ants. The fact is, with the most fanciful Fusion Drives or Anti Matter engines we can dream up (and sure not yet build), it would take centuries to reach even a couple nearby star systems!!!
Even moving at the speed of light, our earliest radio signals have reached only a few stars. Our earliest deep space probes are just barely out of our own solar system. Their arrival at the nearest star would be thousands of years from now.
Bottom line....the distances, unless we totally don't understand physics, are just too darned great. Worse yet, the universe continues to expand, so all these "far away" places are getting further away from us, by the second.
