Wondering how the college demographics work here?
For those IN COLLEGE or COLLEGE GRADS here.....did you attend a COMMUNITY COLLEGE, STATE or PRIVATE university or IVY LEAGUE (big name) school (you know the one's)?

What makes THAT even more embarrasing is when I click the fact that I and Mr. Bignuf are both products of IVY league schools (despite being born pretty poor, we both earned a LOT of scholareships and merit honor awards before getting into IVY League schools).

I went to a private school 2 years, then switched to the state school at home.

I'm about to graduate from a state university in May I absolutely love it. I plan on attending another state university for grad/law school as well.

I started out at an expensive private university (not ivy, but comperable) but I had something of a breakdown after one year there and dropped out. Then I moved back with my dad and went to massage school. A few years later I went to community college and just greaduated this year.
I think I was pressured to go to the "best" school I could get into. It really wasn't the best decision though. If I could go back and start the whole process over again, I would never have gone to the university.
Also funny enough my one year of university cost more than my year of massage school and 2 1/2 years of community college combined, and that was after getting 15K in scholarships.

I will not name my institution, but it involves a bird that's involved in Thanksgiving. Kind of. Haha, yeah, it's state.

All of my degrees are from Ivy League institutions... but I'll be the first to say that many of my best and smartest friends went to other schools, while some of the folks at the Ivies were neither as talented nor as hard-working.

I went to Cerritos College (community college) in 2009 for journalism, The Institute of Technology (private technical college) in 2010 for patisserie and Santa Barbara Business College (private technical college) currently for business and marketing =)
