I've gone to many places for vacation. Maui, DC, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, and others. I'd love to take a vacation with just my significant other, but we're too young and haven't got the funds.

My husband and I took two weeks in the summer of 2003. We dropped my mother off in Cleveland to stay with her sister. We then went to Boston. We visited with my husband's best friend and toured Salem. We went to New York (where my husband is from) and saw the sights and did some shopping. We got caught in the historic blackout! Luckily, the power went out when we had just gotten into our hotel room after shopping earlier. Our pet rat, Poofie, accompanied us on that trip. He charmed everyone he met.

Boyfriend and I have done 3 day vacations to Toronto, Niagara Falls and Ottawa for our anniversaries. I've been on lots of family vacations, across Canada, the US and the Caribbean. I haven't been out of the country since I was in highschool, since I couldn't afford it while I was in college. I'm hoping we'll be able to go to the Caribbean this winter, but it might have to wait another year.

I went to Mackinac Island in 2009 for a long weekend with my family. I just took a long weekend last weekend for a LARP convention.

Use to go to the mountains and beach all the time in California with my husband and kiddos. I went on a cruise last year with my mom, it was awesome.

I have been to Niagara Falls (Canadian side), Delaware and Paris (and a few others towns in France). LOVED Paris and loved going out of the country for a new experience. Also my boyfriend and I are taking our first real vaca TOGETHER in about a week. Heading down to some beaches in Delaware

The vast majority of my vacations have been the standard family trips (cramped car, too much time together, everyone is annoyed with each other, etc). The only exceptions would be back in 2007 when I flew by myself to New York City to meet some fandom friends I knew off the internet (I'd never met them before), and this past New Years when my husband and I spent a night in West Palm Beach to see a show. I keep hoping that one of these days we'll finally go on our honeymoon, but he feels bad about leaving the kids at home.

We always plan for one and something comes up EVERY time.... We are going on 10 years and 2 kids together We usually take a trip 2 hrs north to his parents house and stay the weekend, that's about the extent of our vacations....

Omg going out of the US would be AMAZING! I'd LOVE to go see the pyramids, but I REALLY want to go to Ireland and Scotland

I feel your pain! We didn't manage a getaway for just the two of us until we'd been married 22 years.

I've gone to so many places in and out of the country. I think vacations are necessary for the relationship as you feel like you reconnect with your partner. Spending time alone without a care in the world brings you closer together and reminds you why you fell in love and the things you enjoy about your partner.

I've been on MANY vacations with my family growing up, sometimes from one side of the country to the other, over a period of months. I loved summer vacations!

Since being with hubby, we've been on a few shorter trips but only 2 actual vacations. One was to NYC to a concert and that was fun, and then we also did a 6month anniversary trip to the Poconos and stayed at a cabin.
