Hey Ladies! Underwear Help Question....

Contributor: Envy Envy
Okay, I'm a boring gal. Real boring. I wear just plain white, unimaginative granny panties. I can't wear any fancy underwear with lace, it makes me itch terribly. Bikini cut gives me wedgies, as well as anything even thinner than that. I have yet to try the 'boy shorts' though, but I might like that. High cut is fine, too.

But, my real dilemma is not of the type of underwear but of the color.

I have recently gotten into (finally) buying bras in another color besides white. Black ones. And since buying and using them, my bf adores me in them. He said black just fits me waaaay better. But the problem is the mismatch of black bras to white underwear. It looks terrible.

So I ask this: Does anyone know where I can go shopping for a pack of all black underwear? Every time I see a pack with black, it's always assorted colors. That wouldn't be too bad except I'm not big on tan underwear or polka dots or anything odd like that. (This is at Wal-Mart I see these packs.) I just want straight black underwear in a pack.

Does anyone know where i can buy just black underwear in a pack? It can be a brick and mortar store or an online retailer. I also live on the West Coast, so do bear in mine I might not have some stores here that are on the East Coast. If it's assorted, then the other colors must be at least something tasteful, preferably white, purple, blue, or green. No pinks or tans or yellows or oranges, please.

Any help you guys can provide would be great, thanks.

Well, I don't buy packs often..and when I actually thought about it I realized that all my blank panties that I DID buy in packs came with white and pink and tan as well.

I buy a lot of panties from Victoria's Secret when they have their sales. Yes, they are more expensive but they last a lot longer too. I have panties I bought from Walmart..I think they're fruit of the loom and hanes and I bought them at the same time I bought some of the cheekies panties from VS. Well the pair of Hanes have the elastic getting all frayed and that's painful and looks horrible and the Fruit of the Loom ones are getting all thin in areas. Now my VS panties are looking brand new and they have no issues of thinning or elastic issues. So, in the end the VS panties I think are a much better buy. And then you can buy without having to worry about it being in packs.

I THINK though if I remember right that Target had some in packs of all black. They also sometimes have underwear in bins that you buy separately but they're pretty cheap so it wouldn't be that much more than if you were buying a pack.

Another suggestion would be to go to the websites of specific brands you like. I don't know womens underwear at all, but for example you could go to Hanes website and see if they sell multipacks of black in a style you like. Then you can search other websites/stores for them for the best price.

I have to agree. Usually the panties that you buy individually are nicer, higher quality panties. I don't know what size you are but VS or Lane Bryant if you are a plus size girl usually have them on size for like 5 for $25 and I'm sure if you found a coupon ontop of that you could get a great deal.

That doesn't sound too bad. I'd be a little embarrassed to walk into a VS though, haha. Especially in military type clothing or gothic type, haha.

And not sure myself, but my underwear says 6M on it in the Hanes and Fruit of the Loom.

I did try the websites tho of the makers and couldn't find any all black packs.

Don't be embarrased, it's just a store! And their cotton undies are very comfy.

And if there isn't a store near you try this link - they're 5/$25, they do last quite a while and wash well, and they have lots of different cuts and colors, or you could just do 5 in black.

Omg thank you! Now to find out the size I need... I am thinking XL since I have a 35 waist, but a 42 hip, so i guess that's the one I pick? I would assume the stretch fine.

What size jeans do you normally wear?

Victoria's Secret has their "Five Panties for Twenty Dollars" (or maybe it's twenty five dollars, I forget, I saw the sale while being dragged through Oak Brook in the rain by My Man on the way to breakfast the other day) sale going on now. And, if you buy anything there, you get a coupon sent to your home for a free panty and a discount on a bra a few times a year.

VC has nice all cotton and cotton and Lycra panties. I find the bikini or the briefs to be really comfortable. And, as they last longer than the panties in the big "value packages" from Hanes or Fruit of the Loom at Target or Wal Mart, they are worth the money. You could buy all black or black and lace or whatever combination you like. They are really high quality underwear and they don't tend to rip or run or separate from the elastic like some of the cheaper ones do.

Also, Target has a brand called "Gilligan and O'Malley." These are almost as high quality as the Vickie's brand. They are also sold in big bins, so you can buy whatever style you like. I think the last time Target had these on sale (which is frequently) they had 5 panties for $15.00. I love both these and the Vickie's brand. A little lycra helps them from stretching out too much like all cotton, (although they have all cotton at both places) and they lycra helps them fit better.

I don't personally like Boy Shorts. I have short legs and I guess not a lot of room in my crotch, so they material of the crotch always bunches up, and I'm constantly tugging at it. I LOVE the way they look, but I find them uncomfortable. My body shape is short, curvy, (a little Zaftig) with a bubble butt, and a C Section scar I have to be careful of, so maybe it's the way I'm built. If you are going to buy Boy Shorts get ONE good pair and see how they fit.

Good luck.

In mens i wear a 34 x 32, sometimes a 36 x 32 depending on how tight they feel. In womens it's anywhere from a 12 to a 14/15. I know in Baby Phat I wear a 15, but it's still real snug feeling, and in Gloria Vanderbilt a 12 is somewhat snug, a 14 is baggy.

I hope that somewhat helps?

Is 6M the size of your regular underwear? If it is then I would say maybe a large in VS sizes. I wear a 7 or even 8 sometimes in underwear and I am a large or x-large in VS undies. I have some VS "Pink" which is a line they have and those don't come in XL and I can fit their L even though I am a size 16/18 in pants.

Then you would probably be ok in a large in VS cotton. I tend to wear around a 16 in clothes and the Xl's are perfectly comfy on me. But if you ever get anything from them that doesn't fit, their return service is quick and highly trustworthy.

I think you'd be a large then. That's what I wore when I was a size 12-14 in womens.

Alicia, I didn't read your post before I posted. We posted almost identical things.

Yes, 6M is the reg size I wear and it's nice around the waist, but baggy around my butt. If that makes any sense?

LOL yea..I have that issue with those brands too..it's either too tight around my waist/thighs or I have saggy butt in them. I would say medium or large in VS panties.

I would check places like Target, Kohl's and Victoria's Secret -- all have underwear selections that you can buy individually.

If you have a Target there, you should be able to find some there. I've gotten a 3-pack of boyshorts in black there before.

Don't be embarrassed! You are who you are and you should be proud of that. If somebody doesn't like it the fuck them.

I have to agree withe the size large. And I like the black with tiny white polka dots

I say you try out some black boy shorts. They offer the same comfort as "granny panties," and fit tighter to the body and will probably make you feel a little more sexy! (Everyone looks good in boy shorts!)

While I haven't been to Target lately, I know from previous visits that they should definitely carry at least 3-packs of all black boy shorts. You can always check out the website beforehand, and it's a bit cheaper than Victoria's Secret if you find you don't like them.

Happy Hunting!

I really want to like boy shorts but they make my thighs look even fatter than they are! I like the "cheeky" style that VS has and I forget what they call it at walmart but they have a style like that there too. It's kind of like boy shorts but cut up higher and I find it more flattering on my chubbier legs and larger butt!

You might try Fredericks. Sometimes they have the basic colors in packs, or discounts on quantities of them.

If you get on their mailing list (I think if you make a purchase you have the option to be on it) Victoria's Secret will also send you cards for a free panty every month or two. It might not seem like much, but over time it adds up. My boyfriend is jealous that I have a free panty hookup

WOOT! Got some from Target! But it was weird they had some that said 'boyshorts' but they were NOT boyshorts, more like hipster or cheeky or whatever they are? 5 for $15, but they sat funny on me.... So I picked up some real boyshorts, the black and semi-see through stripped ones by the omalley or whatever. 5 bucks a pop, and I got four of them.

Thanks guys, can't wait to get them washed and then show them off to my bf. (There needs to be a happy evil emote, haha.)
