For a living room, the bigger the better. But for a bedroom I'd say 40"-50" is good.

We have a 37 inch TV, which is fine for now. I don't think I'd ever get one larger than 50 inches. Having a larger TV isn't really important to us.

In the living room, bigger is better. But, in the bedroom, I'd say keep it under forty inches.

40 inch for my living room is perfect size. it all depends on size of living room if my living room was bigger i would count distance from sofa to tv i would get something bigger like 46 inch but from the sofa to tv in my house i went with a 40 inch and its great.
