I played in an "unplugged" Rock and Roll band. A bunch of us would take our guitars to school and find a little platform near the music rooms and play acoustic songs.
Once in a while, we'd go out in the courtyard and sometimes My Man would show up and play with us. It was a lot of fun. I learned a lot about guitar playing from the guys I played with (I was the only girl) and had a great time. It never turned into anything, but we still learned a lot an enjoyed ourselves.
We had actual "smoking areas" for the students. The school figured kids were going to smoke anyway, so it was better to make them be outside, so the bathrooms would be smoke free. I hung out with some of the kids in the smoking area, despite the fact that I never smoked (cigarettes) and once in a while we'd blow a little weed. After I graduated, some of the busy bodies in our community found out that "the school was encouraging children to smoke" and they shut down the smoking areas. Since then nobody can go take a pee without getting bronchitis from all the cigarette smoke since all the smokers are in the bathrooms.
