I'm talking about the hair on your head. Everybody I know has some preference, regardless of how strong it is, for how they like their hair or the hair on their partners, and I'm just curious how the rest of you feel too.

I love and miss my short hair, it was really nice because it was fairly low maintenance. But the nice thing about having longer hair, for me anyway, is that I can easily throw it up in a ponytail to get it out of the way.
I miss having shorter hair, but I keep it short for a few months, then grow it back out to donate it.

I trim mine on occasion, but it's long and I love it that way. I like when my husband keeps his short - just long enough to be able to grab it, but not to his shoulders.

I am patiently waiting for my hair to grow back out from a ghastly short cut I received last time I went in and said "just trim it up a little"
It is finally almost long enough that all of it will stay back in a ponytail...very important to me!

My boyfriend and I both used to have very long hair... mine was below my waist, his about a foot shorter. A few months before we began dating, I convinced him to come get a buzzcut with me (I had already cut my hair short, but wanted it shorter). I figured I'd never get the guts to do it later in life, so I better do it now.
I didn't really like the way I looked until it grew out a couple inches, but I'll never have hair that long again. Long hair is beautiful, but so is short hair, and it's just too convenient to pass up. No 40 minute detangling sessions, no exhaustingly long showers, and I can drive with the windows down without a care.

My hair was on its way out years ago. I've given up on keeping a style and just trim it with a set of clippers (sans guard). I shaved it for awhile, but realized I could save time with just trimming it.
I would love for Cyn to get more purple in her hair, but she hasn't done it...yet. Her hair is pretty long. I like it (except for in the shower).

I have always liked one or the other extreme–bald or shaved and long hair on men. In between is certainly fine too, but those two extremes are what I'm most attracted to.

Woops forgot to select Male when I voted. I'm a guy and I have about mid-back or longer hair (not that I can just turn my head and look ;p). I've been enjoying it a lot and I think I'm just going to keep it this way, keeping it cleaned up and usually pony-tailed. I think it's gonna look great loose once I get my kilt in and a jacobite shirt.

Currently, my hair is medium (shoulder length). I'm growing it back out from it being shaved a year and a couple of months ago.

By "short" for guy's hair I think like not able to run my fingers through it short. I am not a fan of that. I want something to grab onto at least. But it doesn't have to be shoulder length or anything quite long.

My hubby has short hair, with none on top, and I love it the way he has it, but I also love longer, 70's rock ind of hair! so im open to all on my partners!

I like my hair short (think a-line bob) and the general consensus seems to as well. However, on male partners I like short hair and on females I like long hair.

I just got 6 inches hacked off of my hair and I love it. I live in southeastern Louisiana and it's summer. Plus, it's easier for me to maintain and I look like crap with longer hair. I used to look good with it when I was younger, but age doesn't like my longer hair.
On a guy I like it short. I'm just...not a fan of the long hair thing. I dated a few guys with long hair and it just...bothered me.

I prefer my hair short, but I also like it long and medium length. I loved looking like I came from a Victorian scene, I looked very proper and attractive with medium length hair. I also had long hair for a time, I enjoyed it. I would put it back into a pony tail, it looked extremely attractive, especially when I didn't shave.
But as for partners? I have no preference, it's just the type of person that I am..though I am vain and somewhat hard on myself to be attractive, I do not have a preference in partners. She could be bald, have hair down to the floor, so long as she's good inside.

I have long hair, my hair takes a lot of time to grow and now that it is long I have a hrd time going to get them cut. I used to be a hairdresser so caring for my hair is not much of an issue, I love playing with it. BUT it does get in the way sometimes during sex but long hair so just so sexy to me. Sometimes change is good.
My partner used to hae mid length hair and now I cut keep it at an overall 1-2 inch length. He has wonderful "Michealangelo angel's" curled hair, I could never cut them short short short. His curls are so grogeous, I love to play with his hair.

Long for me, the longer the better. The guys I've talked to find long hair super hot. My partner think girls with short hair look like boys. I disagree in some cases, but I find long hair inherently feminine. On my guys, I like it shaggy. I think the spiked hair look reminds me of junior high and I hate when guys have hair that is too long and still spike it or grease it back. Sexy shag is the way to go. I have donated my hair since I was 16 and I grow it so long that it is never shorter than my shoulders when I cut it. I can't stand short hair on me which is awesome because I've never dated a guy who preferred it. Not that I would ever cut it for a guy anyways lol.

I had longish hair for a good while (to the shoulders at least), a few months ago for the first time in a long time I got it cut much shorter than that and found to my surprise that I like that well too. So for me, it's not a huge deal, but I probably won't sport a buzz cut anytime soon. Might try shaving my head once just to see what it is like, but no plans anytime soon.
As for partners, I don't really care either. My partner has mid to long hair and I like that look on her. More than anything else I enjoy some variation, so if she's had it longer for a while a shorter cut is always kind of neat and a good bit of variety.

I like having short hair because if I don't have time to shower in the morning and my hair needs to be cleaned, I can always wash it in the sink and shower later. But what's nice about longer hair is in the same situation, I can put it up in a bun and shower later. Saves me some time, lol

My hair is usually about down to my shoulders, but I keep it up most of time because it's too hot in Florida to have long hair.
I did grow it down to just past my waist in my mid-twenties. My ex-husband LOVED it when it was so long. Trouble was that he kept laying on it when we were in bed. I kept surprising myself every time I took it down out of the clip ... 'When did it get this long???' (In fact, my avatar here was what I looked like back in those days - one-length, long, and red.) The day I cut most of it off (for a jaw-length bob), he cried and wouldn't speak to me for three days.
I'm divided between wanting it to be a chin-length bob (which I look good in) or growing it long enough to do a Pre-Raphaelite style. My bangs are growing out at the moment, and it's driving me crazy. I don't know if I want to continue growing them out or not.
