How do you pronounce Coquette?

Contributor: Jul!a Jul!a
I'm so happy I wasn't the only one confused about it, lol. And thank you to everybody who came in to help clear it up, google was pretty much useless when I tried searching

Although I admit to not having searched very thoroughly...

Aaah, I see. I always thought 'coh-kay' but this makes sense to me.
Kind of like the lingerie line, Cacique. I avoided having to say that one outloud for a loooong time (cah-seek!).

Exactly!

French Canadian approved!

In American dialect, the second syllable takes the consonant. So, the answer, as has already been pointed out (I think), is none of the above: Co-quette.

I wish I could have changed the poll options. When I say it, I say it the way everybody is saying is the correct pronunciation: co-khet, but when I visualize it, it came out coke-ett. Oops, lol

I say 'cock-ette', even though I know it to be pronounced 'coke-ette'. I just like having my lips linger on the 'cock' part in my girl's company.

I'm pretty good with reading, but don't really get into french and I just talk how I talk and don't always HAVE to be proper as long as it's not wrong. Like saying y'all for you all is not necessarily wrong, but not totally classy I guess.

Anyways, I say it the way it looks it should be said co-ket

According to Google:

co·quette /ko'ket/
Noun: A woman who flirts.

I was always familiar with the definition and the word before I knew about the lingerie company.
