I've been thinking of moving to the city now for about 3 months. However, my son loves it here and I really don't want to uproot his life. As a kid we moved around a lot and it was always hard to make new friends and to just settle in.

Same city. But lived 3 different apartments after moving out of my parents house.

We moved many times.....three different cities. Once our daughter was born, we moved four times to different houses, but she stayed in the same school and each move was closer to where her friends lived...by pure chance!

My entire life, I have moved a total of 15 times...my mother and her husband had an off and on relationship, so we were always moving every few years

Four moves total, all but one in the same general area. I moved from my parents' house into my first apartment, then to a bigger apartment. Then back to the house I grew up in until we relocated here. I wish we had stayed.

I have moved about 3 times but it was all within maybe 3-6 blocks from each place we lived so I was able to keep the same friends and attend the same school I was already at.

well over 30 - moved every 3-3 1/2 years growing up, then have moved alot throughout my adult life plus I traveled all over the US for quite a few years.

Technically I've lived in quite a few places, but since that was while doing uni and not a "permanent" home it didn't occur to me at first.

Places I've lived longer than a year, only three.

And that was just before I started high school. After I was out on my own, I moved five more times.

More than 5 times. I didn't really mind it...just wish I would've covered more distance. lol.

We moved houses/apartments a decent amount when I was a child and teenager but it was all within the same community. I graduated from the high school in the school district that I started kindergarten in. I didn't move out of state until it was time for college.

I've moved to 8 diff cities/towns and if you add in apt changes it goes up to like 14 and another 4 for college if you count that.

It was tough as a kid moving, but you adapt.

Well I was uprooted nearly once every 2-4 years it felt. I was moved from a trailer in Eastsport to an apartment in Calais, then to a trailer in Calais. After that my mother got a boyfriend and we moved to Baileyville to a house, but 18 months after my mother got pregnant and we didn't have enough room anymore so I moved out at age 7 to my grandfather's apartment in the same town. About 3 years later my grandfather and mother lost custody of me and put me in ANOTHER town in ANOTHER house. I lived there for two years, then turned around and moved home. My mother put me back in care because I was hard to handle (she didn't want to deal with it) so I went from house there to house up there. Then I moved to another house in the same town. 2 years later I moved to Calais to live in a group home. Finished 8th grade, moved to Milbridge into a foster home, but they didn't want me no more so they sent me to a group home in Ellsworth. I lived there for 3 years, then moved BACK to Lubec to live in the first foster home I was in. Turned 18, moved in with my mom. Got a boyfriend, moved to where I am now. So all in all, I moved a total of *counts on fingers* 14 times. But my husband and I are planning moving at least one more time. :/ I hate that.

I've only moved once so far, I'll be moving again in the future though to NY.

Five or more, we moved twice to be near family and a few more times because my mom kept either losing her job or not having money to pay rent.
It sucks, but that's life I guess. I try not to dwell on it really.

lets seeeeeeeeeee about 9 times in my life, moving again in feb which will make 10. I did most of the moving recently, we've moved 5 times in the last year.

Personally I can't stand being stuck in one place too long, I'm happy with moving every few months if I can keep up financially.
