I have four, but the last one took... 6-8 hours. Much longer than my other three, which are comparatively small and took less than an hour each. Since then, I think of tattoos in hours - because someone putting 12 hours into a huge backpiece says more than "1 tattoo". Give a better idea of how much a person has, I think.

Haha, I was in the lobby and overheard someone asking about a tiny tattoo of a dot, like the size of a "." just so they could say they had a tattoo.

And I'm getting another in March, which will probably take some time, too.

I'd always liked tattoos, but it took me about eight years to decide on my first one. After that, I somehow became a lot more in tune with what I wanted and had a better idea how to go about it.

It various from person-to-person, but for me it didn't really hurt. How much it itches while healing was actually the "worst" part for me.

I don't have any, but I really do like tattoos. I think they're sexy and I was thinking of getting one for a while. However, after a nasty incident I have a bunch of marks which are essentially tattoos, from my skin being opened up and rubbed all over a street >.< so, I have road tattoos! And lots of scars... so I feel like I really don't need anything else

My first was awesome, me and ma went to a shop, had a blast, it hurt but was so cool at 16. At 19, I had a friend who said they knew what they were doing give me one, and it hurt like crazy, and I had to have him stop... leaving me with an imperfect heart on my back... The moral of this story..? DON'T EVER EVER GET TATTOOS FROM FRIENDS WHO SAY THEY KNOW HOW. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS GO TO A SHOP, NO MATTER WHAT!
