Ladies, do you find that you have sex and/or masturbate exponentially more when you are nearing your "time of the month" or does that not phase you in the least?

Contributor: VieuxCarre VieuxCarre
I'm curious to know if other women find the urge to masturbate and/or have sex right before a period greater than the other three weeks of the month (or longer if your periods are irregular like mine). I can always tell when mine is nearing because I find myself wanting to play a bit more than usual. Is it the same for you?

This is very true for me. I'm also much more sensitive to any kind of touch at that time.

I'm just hoping that somehow doesn't go away once I no longer have periods.

I have PCOS and I have the NUVARING. I don't always have regular cycles or actual periods, so I'm with you on that one LOL.

I hope it doesn't go away for you either! If it does, that just means your man will have to find new ways to make your body tingle and sensitive

Lucky woman. There are just some times when I just don't have the urge.

When I was on the pill, I did not see any difference. However, when I stopped, I noticed that I was always more horny before that time of the month, but now, I have two peaks. One during my ovulation and the other one is the day before my periods. They're peaks, but the other days are horny too, just a little bit less.

It's funny, because I work with a lot of men, and when I tend to desire one of them a little bit more, I give credit one of those peaks, and I'm usually right.

I've noticed that, around that time, I am absolutely OUT TO KILL. While sex is generally on my mind all the time anyway, I seem to be more aggressive in my wants and am more than willing to sooth PMS with a play.

That's how it's always been for me too.

Overall, it doesn't make much difference but I am sometimes very horny during my period. Masturbatuion and sex seem to alleviate cramps during my period and gets things moving faster.

Yeah, she wants it more a day or two before period. Then during period she wants to peg me. Go figure.

LOL, that's too funny. It doesn't sound like you're complaining too much, though.

Hmmmm for me, my sex drive can seem like it's stuck in drive all month long. I do notice that I am more interested actually during my period, but on some occasions I can pin point when I'll start by my level of arousal. It varies but I will say that both guys can pinpoint when I'll start my period to within hours, sometimes, just based on how I respond to their sexual advances.

I used to when I was on the pill. Since I've been off it my sex drive has been consistently high, I don't really notice a difference.

LMAO, not at all. We kinda welcome her time of the month. That means she'll be strapping it on!

I DO! It’s so strange it's like I’ve never masturbated a day in my life, so I have to do it all the time lol

For me, its usually right after my period that everything goes into overdrive... and especially when I ovulate. If anything though, I tend to slow down right before. But that may just be from the emotional state of "blah" I experience in those couple of days leading up to it.

Not so much for me, after it starts and my hormones start going crazy my sex drive will kick in. It will go into overdrive sometimes and near the end as well. Usually I feel blah close to and during my period, kind of depressed. I hate it.

Not only closer to that time of the month, but during as well. I think it is relative to our hormone level.

Right before and during. I turn into a little animal. I just can't get enough. Funny enough though, my love can usually tell. Must be the pheremones or something, makes him crazy too.

I am more aroused right before the time of month. It is the week that I am the most active out of the four weeks of a month. It is realted to the changing levels of female and male hormones in the body, testosterone is our horny hormone and before our period its higher. (something like that)

My body goes into "baby makin' mode" just before I ovulate (rarely though it is, due to PCOS), and I'm virtually insatiable. Well, maybe that's just all the time.

Hm.

If my husband has lost track of when my period should be coming he can always tell by my increased, incessant requests for sex.

I have PCOS and I ovulate regularly now. Have you spoken with a doctor about it or consulted an OBGYN who actually knows how to treat PCOS?

I found that it keeps getting increasingly "worse" and I'm just not a fan of messy sex during my time of the month. I seriously almost humped a door knob at work I was so insatiable this month

Everyone I've gone to has simply just put me on birth control, of which I am unable to afford at this time. So, I just kind of deal.

I'm on BC as well, but they had to put me on one that had a high enough estrogen count to counteract the testosterone I produce. I'm also on Metformin. I'm sorry you haven't gotten the help you need
