All 6 years we dated and the last almost a year of our marriage, my husband has opened every door we've gone through. I expect it and love it. It's not a spoiled thing, it's a gentleman thing.

Sigel has always opened doors for me since we were in HighSchool and Arch does as well it's way for them to show they value and love me.

Exactly....when I am training a new sub I love watching his/her reaction when I wait for them (sometimes rather impatiently ) to open and hold the door. Now my guys will damn near mow me down to get to the door first. They are gentlemen and it is very sweet.

I love it I guess I just feel his respect when he does it. It makes me feel like his princess and that's one of his ways of showing me. Just as he would pull out a chair for me, or I would serve him at dinner.

A gentelman always opens the door. It's just common courtesy.

Yes, it's nice that my husband opens the door for me, and sometimes I'll return the favor if I reached the door before him. I think it's the thought that counts, and also having nice etiquettes.

I do think it's the part of basic manners, but I am never offended if someone doesn't do it for me...

With manners you show respect towards the other, be it the same sex or the opposite, a friend or just a stranger, manners is one of the best ways to express love, care, and respect towards the other creature... ^^

My husband doesn't open the door for me, but I think that's sweet. If I'm slightly ahead of someone at the store I'll hold the door open for them until they get there and I've had others do it for me.

I get all weirded out when anyone opens doors for me, especially my husband. There's a lot of things I like done for me but that is not one of them.

I like to open the doors for the ladies but there is one thing which is open for debate. I was told that I should open the door and go in first, then invide the girl in, while holding the door. But my roots say that I should open it and hold it from the outside till she goes in ahead of me, then I follow her in. Which is preferred?

I like when he opens the door for me, since I usually have my hands full with a baby and the diaper bag, so yes I love it, but I don't expect it every time. If we are alone, he is a gentle man and opens the door for me.

it would be sweet, but definitely not a requirement.

I think it can quickly become annoying. For me if he's already in front of me then please but if hes by my side or worse behind me and hurries up to grab it i find it annoying. I'm not helpless I can get a door by myself just fine, I don't need a maid servant to open it.

Of course I wouldn't be heartbroken if he hadn't opened the door for me, but I think it is a sweet gesture.

I love it. My favorite is when he opens my car door and then walks around and gets in on his side. Such a gentlemanly gesture.

He doesn't do it all the time, especially when we're in a hurry. But he's only human. I do love it when he does remember tho! It's become more frequent since we've had our son since usually I hold the baby and he gets the diaper bag.
