I suppose I should've added the infamous "other" option, although I THINK I covered my bases!

I use it recreationally, but pretty rarely. I'm definitely a supporter of medical marijuana, and legalization in general.

I have not and never will use marijuana for recreational purposes. But, I am all for using it medically. It makes no sense to me to exploit its medical uses.

We both use it for recreational purposes, but even before I used it I was all for legalizing it for medicinal purposes!

I don't see the harm.

To be honest, I would love to get a card for it, because I'd rather use something that I can function on rather than popping Vicodin for my back pain, which I hate to take in the first place!

I'm very much FOR legalizing marijuana. That way you can regulate and tax it. It can held to the same standards as other drugs. No harmful fillers, etc.

I don't personally use it, and don't plan to, but I don't care about decriminalizing, or legalizing, marijana, medical or reacreational.

I feel we should legalize it just like alcohol.

I am neither for or against it. on one hand it has uses that are beneficial, and on the other hand it has its down sides, just like everything else on the planet. some good could come out of legalizing it though, through government control, it would all be the same stuff, and bring in a lot of revenue in taxes, which would be one small way the government could help itself get out of debt, I am not saying that it is the only way, or that it would magically fix anything, but it could be beneficial.

I am FOR legalization 100%! I use it medicinally to help me sleep as I have chronic pain. I just smoke a small amount about an hour before I go to bed and it has given me the best sleep I have had in years. My nurse practitioner suggested it to me. I am eligible for a card, but I can't afford one. Here in Arizona, they want $150 for a card and I am on SSI so there is no way I can come up with that amount.

I agree that if it was legal and could be taxed, it would help the national debt situation tremendously.

Sorry to hear that! My boyfriend recommended it to me because I was refusing to take my Vicodin (I hate how it puts me out of it and I can't do anything but lay around) and there isn't anything that my pain management specialists can do other than write me scripts for Vicodin, so I tried it after being sooooooo against it for so long (I grew up having it forced in my head that it was a drug and if you did it you'd go around shooting people!) and it made the pain tolorable. I could even do housework and brush my hair without his help! Amazing stuff.

Maybe, one day, the cards will not cost as much for you, and you can get one!

I use it recreationally because it is not legal for medical use in Ohio. I would have a card if I could get one. I want to move to a state to get one. My husband and I would both qualify. I am all for legalizing it. I would love to be able to walk to the store and get it.

Did you know that in Washington D.C. Medical Marijuana is legal. Them damn politicians want everything for themselves and not us. Seriously check out the Norml page. It is seriously legal there and not everywhere. Ridiculous.

I don't use it and haven't ever used it, but have friends that do and I don't care one way or the other. They smoke it in front of me, but I wouldn't let them smoke in front of my kids. If it has medicinal purposes I don't see the harm in it considering all the prescription drugs that are offered that cause more side effects than the benefits they're supposed to be treating.

I can't say that I use it enough to be considered to using it recreationally, but it's definitely out there.

It doesn't seem very fair to limit treatment options for those in pain due to the reservations of some people against the whole idea of drugs and the subculture associated with it.

I don't use it at all and don't have any inclination to.

But I am for legalizing it because, frankly, it has more medicinal properties and is less dangerous (to the user and bystanders) than alcohol or tobacco so it's absolutely STUPID to 'play favorites' with the ones that make the government money.

I don't use it because I have in the past and it doesn't agree with me. However my husband has bad back issues and anger problems. He has been prescribed Vicodin and Klonpin for these issues which are pretty serious, addictive drugs. He hates both of them and smokes weed instead. It's not legal here, but his physciatrist gave him the go ahead as he had such a bad reaction to the anxiety pills. He still takes the Vicodin sometimes since it's legal and the weed isn't, but he says the weed helps more with less side effects.

I'm all for legalization not only for medicinal purposes but just in general. It's better than alcohol in my opinion. Drunk people get in fights, high people eat and laugh. Not to mention the amount of tax revenue it could generate in an economy that could really use it.

I am for medical marijuana use. I personally know several people who have had cancer and marijuana helped their symptoms. It should be legalized in my opinion.

I'm all for it. I don't have any medical conditions but smoke regularly because I like it.

I think that if it were legalized and taxed (like alcohol and cigs) that it would be beneficial. You know how much tax money could be collected on it? I don't have any idea, but it would have to be quite a lot. I've long thought that weed is much less harmful than alcohol. I'd rather be on the road with a person who just smoked a bowl rather than someone who just downed a mixed drink or even a few beers.

I think it's a very good thing medicinally for people whom it can help. Recreationally, I think it should be legalized, taxed, and regulated.

I am absolutely, 100% for legalizing for all uses. While I don't smoke anything (I'm allergic to almost everything that smokes. Fire, incense, cigarettes, etc), I very much am against putting people in jail over something as harmless as smoking pot. There are so many good reasons to legalize (taxing it, health reasons, etc) that I just think it is ridiculous to keep it illegal.

I don't use it, but I believe it should be legalized, not just medicinal. It's not any worse than alcohol is, and I don't see why alcohol is legal if marijuana isn't.

I've never used it either medicinally or for recreational purposes. I believe it has a valid use medicinally and if it were legalized hemp fiber would be more readily available for use. It would also have additional benefits such as taxes, etc.

I'm for legalizing it, or at least decriminalizing it. The only danger pot smokers form to the community are when they drive while high - but keep that criminalized. We're wasting so much money on warring against marijuana, and for what purpose?

I don't intend to smoke it, since fake pot gave me seizures when I tried it, but it's helped my sister.

Ah, one more danger, but that can be about as controlled (if not more?) as alcohol.

Smoking before a certain age (16, I believe?) can cause stunted growth apparently. I know quite a few who fit that, but then some who don't, so I'm not sure how they measured this. But, it does make sense, but I suppose it also depends on the person and their lifestyle!

I live in a state where it is legalized for medicinal purposes. I do not nor will not ever use it since I am seriously allergic to THC. I tried it in high school and ended up not breathing and hospitalized. Twice, the second time was by being in the room where it was being smoked. I do not care either way, people that use it will whether it is legal or not. Same as alcohol, tobacco, and other illegal drugs.

I'm for it medically and for fun. Its a plant not a drug. Just as long as people don't smoke and drive since smoking weed can make you relaxed similar to childrens cold medicine.
