I have asked my husband to shave down there, but he is nervous. He is scared to use a normal razor. So my question is...if you shave, what do you use?

Do YOU shave down there? What do you use? He could try a trimmer.

Electric? Wouldn't want a razor down there. A trimming is much better anyway.
02/24/2013
Clippers are better.

My huband uses a normal shaver.

Is it necessary to shave? It can be really uncomfortable for him when new growth comes in. Why don't you give him a nice trim instead?

Trim first if its long and then razor for the rest. I've waxed before, it was intense but does last longer. Just use a new razor and go with the grain for the first time.

My guy doesn't shave but keeps his trim. I like him having some hair there, not crazy about a guy shaving there but trim and clean.
02/24/2013
I use clippers and a razor.
02/24/2013
my guy uses a normal razor and hair conditoner and says he has never cut himself

I think my guy friends sometimes use electric razors.

I have been shaving for about 10 years - like anything else you learn what works and what doesn't. I use a standard multi-blade razor and hair conditioner instead of shaving cream. Honestly it's not hard - but I can see people who have dense, dark hair that grows quickly being reluctant to shave.
My rule is that you should be able to shave 1/day without getting discomfort from re-growth. If not, IMO your hair grows too fast for comfortable shaving.

i would never "shave." i do trim, and sometimes without a guard at all. everytime i go without a guard i end up with a nicked and bleeding ballsack.

if i were to shave, i would use a razor. what else could one use? i suppose you could nair it...but i don't know that i would trust around my junk. mach 3 it. i would be hesitant around the ballsack though. and, as well, around the perineum.

be VERY CAREFUL with an electric trimmer. I keep mine shaved donw but if for some reason it gets shaggy on me i use a trimmer first. I then shave, I have a gillette power razor dedicated for manscaping and one for my face(that never gets used)

Before you slather things in Nair, please for the love of whatever you find holy do a spot test. My testicles still cry when I smell Nair.

Up to you entirely, but YOU could lay him down and trim things with a pair of clippers and then shave him. It's a trust exercise, and also by the time you get done moving everything around you can wipe him clean or just climb on for a good ride.

When I was younger, I used to shave everything smooth with a razor and keep the skin soft with baby powder. Now I just use a trimmer to tidy up the area when needed. You can buy clippers with plastic guards, so you don't take off more than you want to.

Haha right! You should wax him Doubt he'd go for that though! I used to use Gillette Venus blades, they had 4 protective wires going across the blades to keep you from getting too close. I never cut myself using those blades. But If I were scared of blades I'd just use trimmers, they're probably the safest.

P.S. Men can use epilators too. It's what I use & find it to be the best method of hair removal. Not a bad choice, but I don't think I'd ever use epilating as my first-time hair removal & you'd want to be sure you've shaved a few days before because the longer the more painful.
