I am a huge PS guy. I cannot stand Xbox. Not sure why, but I have never liked the XBOX. I like the PS controllers better, their graphics and the games that they have available. That, and I really dislike how you have to pay a monthly subscription to play the Xbox live. So I have always been drawn to the PS's more. What do you think is better and why?

The playstation has the added benefits of being able to play Blu-rays, and online gaming is free.

I wish 360 had free online multiplayer but the fact of the matter is, you get what you pay for. PS3 is consistently slower online than the 360 (and crashes far more) and the 360 didn't have huge security problems like the PS3 did. There's a lot to be said about the 360 that the PS3 doesn't have. That being said, there are tons of things about the PS3 that are better than the 360. I pay for both Live AND PlayStation Plus. It's give and take. I prefer the 360 overall but I also like some features about the PS3. I get TONS of free games and DLC (plus special themes and avatars) that I could never get on 360 (not to mention exclusive discounts). Even free members can occasionally get a free theme or DLC on PS3, whereas 360 hardly ever gives free anything to anyone, even paid members. So there are some benefits about the PS3, yes, but the 360 is more reliable. The PS3 is like your stepdad who tries to buy you over with gifts but isn't really there while the 360 is your dad who doesn't know how to show his love and borrows a lot of money but he'll always be there for you.

I've had an Xbox for a few years, and I really like it. However, it's disappointing when I see a Japanese game that I've been looking forward to is only going to get a US release on the PS3 :/
I will likely be getting a PS3 in addition to my Xbox in the next 6 months, but I'll probably stick to playing on my Xbox so I don't have to get duplicates of all my games for PS3 to raise my gamerscore on there

I won't lie, I used to be on the PS side, but I switched over.
I think it was KOTOR and Oblivion that did it. And I lost interest in Final Fantasy.
I don't really play MMO games, so subscriptions aren't a big issue to me.

I left it to my teenage son to chose. I thought the PS3 looked better and liked it for the blu-ray. In all he said very few of his friends have PS3 and the games are better on the xbox. We now have a second xbox at home, this one we got specifically for kinect. The xbox live family pack is the way to go.

I love my 360, but I also want a PS3. I really have to want alot of exclusively PS3 games to justify it's purchase though for my budget. So far I'm up to...one. Maybe someday.

I'm just really used to the console features and the control system so it's a lot more comfortable for me. And it might be just the games I've purchased but when a game is released on dual platforms PS3 tends to get the slightly shorter end of the stick.

sadly XBAWKS wins, and only for one reason.
xbawks games can load in the background during scene switches, its a propietary thing only microsoft gets to use.
this of course decreases loading times noticably.
havign said that i still like the PS3 library more and the fact it would work well with my PSP makes me even sadder. (not that i own either console)
