Both. Kindergarten private, 1-8 public, freshmen & sophomore year private Parochial school, junior and senior year public.

I really thought I wanted to try private school so my parents switched me for HS but I didn't care for the Catholic aspects of it and it wasn't as challenging as I'd hoped so I went back to public school so I could at least enjoy the elective classes that the private school didn't offer (art appreciation & mass choir only).

I went to both. I went to public school for elementary and jr high school. Then we moved and the public schools weren't as safe so I went to a private school for high school. It was very different and I had a hard time fitting in. I know the private school was better academically but I was pretty unhappy there.

I always went to public. But then decided to drop out and get my GED instead. I didn't care much for the schools I went to, they weren't the best at all.

I went to public schools only but the last two were "magnet" schools which are voluntary and required "applying" to. But there was no tuition and it was public so anyone could go.

I did both. Up until high school I was in private schools, then I went to a public high school. It was really weird for me because I had come from a school where the entire 8th grade graduating class was 17 kids, including myself, then I get thrown into an environment where the graduating class was now closer to 900 students, not to mention the other 3 class years worth of students. But honestly, I'm happy I got to experience both.

I went to a charter school which is part of the public school system but not a public school really. There's no tuition but you had to write a letter why you wanted to go there and it was really really small and... yeah.

I went to public elementary school, public jr. high, then public high school but hated the way the teachers taught and school was run (too text book) and switched to an open minded alternative school where freedom of speech and thought was encouraged.

I went to private schooling. The school was highly advanced compared to public schooling. I had the benefit of having friends everywhere. I would say I want my son to go to private or online schooling by the state. Education is too important, especially today.

Private, but I didn't like it. The main reason for me was that it was 35 miles away, so some of my friends were 70 miles away on the other side of town. Makes it difficult to just hang out.

I went from a public school to a private christian school to a public school to charter independent studies program. I would definitely vote public or charter.

Public through high school. I went to a sort of rough urban high school, but it had some great programs as long as you took the initiative to get into them. I went to a small private college, which I loved. It was a nice change from being shuffled around in such a large high school.

K-8 parochial schooling. I was happy for it because the class sizes were smaller and I got more individual attention than at the public school I would have been sent to. The public school was also a mod 60s style building with no walls between the classrooms- too loud and distracting.
