Sex Toy Parties

Contributor: wrecklesswords wrecklesswords
Hey everyone! I did a quick search and couldn't find much on this subject that was recent enough.

I used to sell Pure Romance, but didn't do very well because of demands of the company/lack of people willing to do parties in my area. However, my fiance is kind of interested in picking it up as a side job to our both having full-time jobs.

Does anyone here have any experience with any other sex toy party companies other than Pure Romance? Do they have strict rules about who can and can't be at parties, etc?

It would be cool if Eden could do a program like that. Even though I see that a lot of things changed... a LOT since I was last active on here, I do still trust this site a lot above others.

Most companies do not allow men to be present or participate at all in their home programs. That's about all I know, though.

That's about all I know as well!

I just wish that I could somehow allow men to be present because when I was a PR consultant, most of the people who were interested in hosting parties were men!

I know I could have gotten around it by putting all the orders in my name, but with the way the ordering system worked, it made things very difficult.

Or if there was a company that had no issue with men being present. Because if the men are open-minded and don't harass other ladies or men, then what's the big deal?

Because you know what? Ladies could sexually harass other ladies at these parties all the same.

I have been to Passion Parties where they were aimed at couples, not sure if it was "allowed" or just how the consultant ran them but they were nice.

That's the kind of thing I would like to do. I'd like to be able to sell to a varied audience and not just to women. I mean, I'm all for empowering the woman to not feel shackled by sexual boundaries, but there are men out there, too, who also feel shackled.

I would think as long as the order was in the female's name if it was required you could do them anyway you want to. That is the only company I have ever attended a party for but the ones I was at were well attended by couples and I know the consultant made a killing.

I'd be happy just to be able to find 1 or even more than 1 to go to.

We would be scared to go to one. I would allow her to, but I doubt if she would go. I know she wouldn't !

What are other companies that do parties? Hope it's okay to ask this here.

I know that there are:

Passion Parties
Slumber Parties
Tasteful Treasures
Surprise Parties

Uhm, there's a ton more, but those are the ones off the top of my head.

I plan on thoroughly researching a lot of them because my fiance and I really do want to do it as a side business as supplemental income.

I don't understand why people continue the line of thinking that men can't act maturely during these events but that's what the companies choose to do so there's obviously a reason. I think in general, guys get the short end of the stick in this industry. It's almost like "well, you have a penis and a hand so you're set!". Well...us women-folk have fingers so how did it become a double standard?

I agree!

I think double-standards work both ways and I believe that's why there are men out there who still refuse to cry and try not to "act like a sissy' because they are raised to believe that they are less of a man for it. Just like women are sometimes raised to believe that not wanting to have children or have them right away makes them less of a woman!

But, I think that what I will do is research a lot of the different companies, their policies, and the quality and variety of products they sell and chose from there. And then what I will do is make sure that if I have a party where males are in attendance, I will just keep the order in their female partners name or in my name.

I think that's the best way around it, short of starting your own company. And while a worthy cause, would be very difficult to do. I think that's why Eden is so important -- especially when it comes to social media, the more we share our experiences the more likely we are to make the idea of sex toys and sexual pleasure inviting and safe for people of all sexes and genders. The industry just needs to step up and fall in line with what WE want, not what they think we want.

Couldn't have said it better myself, Stormy! You are one wise woman!

Yeah, starting my own would be WAY hard. I suppose I could always kind of start building my own stock of things, too hahaha. I could continue to order items off of here, make my reviews, and build off of there.

Oh man, too bad I can't be the travelling sex toy expert or something lmao

No kidding, hahaha!

Man, that would be fun.

But for real, if I do decide to start doing this, I've kind of narrowed it down to Slumber Parties, Passion Parties, or going back to Pure Romance.

However, it saddens me that even though one of them has a lot higher TOY inventory than the others, they all still focus more on body products than anything else.

Okay, I'm going to let the cat out of the bag a little bit on this one...

(Don't shoot the messenger...)

Google has taken up this nasty, nasty habit of punishing adult sites by killing their page rank for a variety of things. You'll most likely start to see a large number of adult-oriented sites focusing less on the adult side of things and focusing more on universal things...due to Google's policies, most adult sites are now having to go "behind the curtain" to showcase their wilder inventory.

Oooh, I see! So it's possible that they have a wider variety, but they are not able to actually list them online, huh?

It can be listed, it just won't be front and center like it used to be.

Ah, I suppose that makes sense in a way?

But I still kind of think it's ridiculous to have done something like that. However, I realize there's not really a REAL way to verify someone's age on a website just yet.

In my opinion, that's their parents's responsibility...it sure as hell isn't google's. The whole thing chaps my hide.

Yeah, you're right. Too many parents these days don't even watch their kids or seem to care that they are NOT aiding in their positive development by letting them have all of these gadgets, etc.

It's abysmal. I sincerely hope that I am off this planet by the time the generation below my generation comes to power. I'm terrified of their ineptitude and overall "gimme it all" attitude they seem to have.

You need to get your own TV show. I remember when Dr Ruth had her weekly TV show. We used to tune in to watch. Maybe have a Sex Toy party and video it for viewing. Maybe ask Eden to sponsor it and supply the toys ! Call it Eden Fanstasy Presents or something catchy !

I don't know what happened to it or if it's still in the works, but we had something like that up our sleeve. I do know it's super-expensive to do, though (the tv show).

Yeah, A production like that will be super expensive. Maybe post it on Eden's home page or U Tube. Does Eden advertize on some of the free adult movie sites ? Sorry don't know what they are called or names of any because don't watch free downloads. I think there are adult sites like U tube.

That would be super cool! Actually. .. I mean I have a slight issue with that kind of attention but I'd love to do a show where I could talk about sex toys and sexual health

Indeed there are. They often have names that are kind of obvious, like pornotube, hardsextube, etc. They're all over the place, and not a bad way to get free porn if you're okay with lots of amateur stuff.

Sadly, most of their ads are along the lines of "MEET A FUK BUDDY TONITE OMG ROFL BBQ!!!" Not that I oppose one-night stands or anything, but the way those ads are presented is distasteful. I'd have mixed feelings about Eden advertising on such sites. It might draw a lot of customers (some of whom could probably use a decent toy education), but it might just as easily fall flat if your average porngoer is only interested in quick and easy porn.

Those ads are usually circumspect and have questionable sources. I can't see us playing in that field.

This is very true. I don't think Eden would do that since Eden strives to be a classier type of product site!
