Once I knew a guy who loved macaroni, but wasn't willing to eat spaghetti... I don't know what in the world the big fuss was about, but anyway, now am asking you to find out if there is really anything special to the question...

I like both. Though for some reason I definitely prefer spaghetti when with tomato sauce/meatballs. My mother would always try to make it with macaroni and other noodles, but I just didn't like it. Same with macaroni salad. I know people who make certain kinds with spaghetti noodles and I hate it... it has to be macaroni!

I'm assuming it is Macaroni with Cheese which I don't like and my kid loves. I love spaghetti with homemade meatball... yummy.. you are making me hungry..

I'm of Italian Ancestry, so I am used to billions of different kinds of pastas.

Macaroni is actually a form of Spaghetti that is very thick, and usually hollow. Americans use "macaroni" for small pastas like Elbows and Shells. But, actual Macaroni (or maccheroncelli, in Italian) is different.

I'm not a big fan of egg noodles (unless we're having stew, then I prefer thick noodles or Amish noodles) and I never call Pasta "noodles." My grandparents and all my ancestors would roll over in their graves. I have a (German) friend who calls pasta "noodles" to her son, and I want to pull her aside and give her the "whatsmatterwitch u?" every friggin' time. PASTA IS NOT NOODLES! Capisce?
