So, I'm planning on getting this pinup girl tattooed on Saturday. I'm 150% sure I want her tattooed on me, and on my left arm. I just am starting to struggle with placement. So where should I put her? In my forearm, or on my bicep as I had originally planned?
ok, so when you talked about her before you mentioned putting her on your forearm, when the reason as to how I voted. But I agree with Dwtim, it really does depend. When I got the tat on my wrist the artist asked me how I wanted it to be placed. I didnt know that you actually decided to get her. thats exciting!

Yeah, my sister is helping me pay for most of it. And I think if I got her on my forearm, I'd want her pointing to me to remind me that I'm a Fighter/Survivor. Every time I see the picture, I feel like I draw strength from the message that she conveys to me. BUT... I don't know if when I decide to go back to work, if she will be an issue. I don't want to be confined to 3/4 sleeves and long sleeves for the rest of my life if I don't want to show her. BUT at the same time, I can't imagine not wanting her to be seen by everyone. She won't be small at all because then she'll be blurry.
I think either place would be fine, however, the bicep would probably allow you to have a slightly larger image given the surface area. The forearm would probably be an easier location for you to be able to see and appreciate it yourself.

"easier location for you to be able to see and appreciate it yourself."
That's part of why I'm starting to wonder. I have a beautiful piece on my back that I can never look at.
You can still see it on your bicep, but I think it would be easier on your forearm. Honestly, I think you will be happy in either location. Don't over think it. Do what feels right.
I think because of the shape of the design, I would want it on my forearm. If you get it pointing towards you, it will be easier to see but I think that the other way would go with the shape of your arm better.
I'd love to see the pics after too.

I like it best on the bicep. I have a pin up tattoo and I was thinking about getting it there, but ultimately I chose to put it on my side.
I'm not ready to put anything there. No one would see it. I want to show everyone! I already have a hard time with the placement of my other tattoo for showing it off.
I have other tattoos planned for more erotic parts of my body like under my breasts, my hip bone, etc. I also have a cross planned for my other arm and my girls' birth flowers and their names in Hebrew planned for my wrists. I'm ADDICTED!
I had to put her on the bicep because to get the detail that I wanted, it was too big to put on my forearm. Honestly, once I was in the shop, that decision was very easy to make. She needs a little touch up work, I think, but otherwise, I think she's beautiful. A great reminder of all that I've made it through and to keep making it through.

Wherever she fits the best and she doesn't look all distorted or twisted around your arm. tattoos are pretty much accepted anywhere now days so I wouldn't be worried about the forearm.

Oh wow I didn't see the after picture! Looks great!
