So I'm finally getting around to digitizing my massive CD collection (couple of thousand CDs) and, much to my chagrin, it's turning out that about one out of every 20 is "dead". The computer (and my high-end stereo's CD player) simply won't recognize that they even exist.
Yes, I know there are ways to bring "dead" CDs back to life and I WILL try those after I finish ripping the others...but it just bugs the crap out of me that these things, which were supposed to be SOOOO much better than LPs, conk out after just a few years. And the audio quality isn't nearly as good as a new vinyl record, either!
Anyway, how about YOU? Do you have any "pet peeves" with technology?
