On this date in 1972, Bernie Edward Gallant of San Diego, California received a U.S. Patent for his invention, a cradle for use by two adults simultaneously engaged in love making. The device has the “specific purpose of supporting the weight of the superimposed love partner” while permitting “maximum freedom of the lower positioned partner”.
