After having a conversation with a female friend, I am curious about getting a VCH or Vertical Clitoral Hood piercing.
I recently have had my nose pierced and I love it. I know that I am overly fearful of not only the pain but worried that the stimulation experienced won't be as intense. Can anyone put these rumors to rest?

I am thinking of getting a vertical clitoral hood piercing but am afraid that will detract from my sexual experience. I would love to hear feedback from those that have undergone the piercing already.

I've enjoyed mine very much. Your piercer can address where on your anatomy a ring or barbell will hit on your personal anatomy and can also suggest better options for stimulation if your anatomy is appropriate.

They are great. Depending what kind of jewelry I'm wearing in mine, it rubs against my clit randomly when walking or crossing my legs and feels amazing. As long as you don't pierce your actual clit, it's very unlikely you'll lose sensitivity.
The pain was pretty bad, but not unmanageable. I had my nose pierced years ago and although I had a lot of friends that said it was an easy and painless piercing, it hurt me much worse then my vertical hood piercing. The pain goes away, but you do tend to swell up down there for about a week which is very uncomfortable. Everyone is different though, so who knows how it would be for you. I do think it's a really fun piercing to have

I have a VCH with a 14g 1/4" curved barbell (with pretty green gems on it). I got mine done in may and with proper care it healed in about 2weeks. Usually it takes 4-6 weeks, but I was on antibiotics shortly after and I think that sped it up a bit. The pain was not bad at all...it was more shock than anything. My snug piercing hurt worse, lol. Mine sits right at the tip of my clit, and I get stimulation from it by walking fast, crossing my legs, and just sitting a certain way. Care and cleaning and maintenance is really easy. Because of the location sea salt soaks are easy to do and they greatly decrease the healing period, and I still clean it in the shower using an anti-microbial soap...just lather it up In your hands an apply to the piercing! I also use the cleaning time to check the tightness of the ends.
I highly recommend getting it. I suggest finding a piercer that specializes in female genital piercings for the easiest experience. I drove an hour and a half to get it done by a specialist and it was totally worth it-she made me feel comfortable and talked me through the entire process better than any piercer I'd talked to before did.

The problem with the VCH is that you have to make sure your anatomy will work with it. You can tell by doing the q-tip test. Take the fluffy part off the q-tip and try to work the q-tip under your hood. If you can get it at least half-way till the end of the cotton, you should be good. If not, you don't have the proper anatomy to support it.
This becomes a bit of trouble if you don't have enough skin there. If you don't the jewelry won't be too comfortable and seem more like it's getting in the way than anything else. I used to have mine done a few years ago. I took it out and don't miss it at all.
I had a few in my inner labia as well. I'm all for piercings everywhere else, vut vagina piercings were more of a hassle than a pleasure to have for me.

I have a lot of piercings. But at the moment I've only got my lip, belly button and ears. I got rid of the nipple rings and eyebrows years ago. There are only 2 things that I WILL NEVER pierce and those are my cooter and my tongue. I will try any piercing except those. For one I don't want anyone else looking or touching my cooter except for my partner and two... piercings take a lot of care. Have you ever smelled of someone's belly button ring that hasn't been cleaned in a few weeks or someone's gauged ear holes? The smell is putrid. It is one of the worst smells I've ever smelled. It makes me gag! I had a guy friend in high school who had his ears gauged to 0 and he stuck his pinky finger inside the hole, pulled it out and made me sniff it. I had no freakin' idea what I was sniffing until he told me! It was truly the most disgusting smell ever! I've never had my belly button ring or hole have that smell, but everyone I know who's had it pierced has a nasty smell. I'm paranoid about stinking so I still clean mine just as I did when it first got pierced. I don't know why piercings tend to stink, but yuck-o! Anyways, what I am getting at is that is not something I want on my cooter. Plus my clitoris is extremely sensitive and my partner is practically religious about giving oral before any sex at all! Lol so and I don't want my sensitivity to change. I've had discomfort sometimes if it's rubbed for a long time and I couldn't imagine something hard constantly being there moving my clit every time I shifted. I just dont like those piercings. They aren't for me. I don't think it would be sexy for me.

the healing wasn't that bad and even though i wasnt suposed to i was having sex the next day... The piercing itself was intense. i dont know what all you have already but the only thing i have that hurt more is my septum and nipples.

i had my hood pierced, it was a vertical hood piercing just as you describe. the actual piercing was painful, sure, but not as bad as my nipples. sex for the next 2 weeks felt awful... any movement there was like a bee sting. it was hot going without underwear and it catching on my jean zipper as it healed... but once the 8 wk period was up, i was over it. the little silver ball was just getting more in the way of stimulation on my clit, rather than stimulating it.
i took it out after 8 wks.
anywho, i have to imagine that even if the ball were not smooth and rather textured, therefore constantly stimulating that nerve, it would desensitize it, at least while the hood was pierced.
there is also always the possiblity that something could go wrong. unless your piercer is super experienced, they could damage your nerve. then no more clitoral feeling. ever again.
and it would hurt like a motherfuck.

I loved mine when I had it in, and I would do it again in a hearbeat. I actually enjoyed the actual piercing procedure, but I guess I'm kind of strange. I had to take it out eventually as I put a bar in that was too heavy and it started to stretch the hole. I plan on putting it back in one day though. I felt so sexy just knowing it was there.

Never had one, don't want one. I have had more than one female come to the ER for us to take them out shortly after being pierced though.
