I'm supposed to be allergic to penecillin, but I don't even think I've been tested for it or anything... The assumption is that since my sis is allergic, I should be allergic.

So much

Shellfish; Anaphylactic (which means my blood pressure crashes, my lungs start to shut down, everything swells and I could die)

Iodine; Anaphylactic

Peanuts; Near Anaphylactic

Dairy Products; mostly digestive and respiratory response, but not anaphylactic. I won't die, but I wish I would while the stuff is working its way out of my body

Barley (who the hell is allergic to barley?)

Corn mild

Cats, (terrible, I feel like I'm dying when I am around them) mice, most rodents, nearly all animals, pollen, tree pollen, mold, fungus, dust, many flowers etc

Latex, not yet anaphylactic, (but most likely will be, with continued exposure) but the response is similar, not being able to breathe properly, watering eyes, swelling, wheezing, itching mouth and face etc.

Did you know that "outgrowing" allergies is actually VERY rare? Most children who are allergic to cow milk as babies or children will carry that allergy the rest of their lives, but the symptoms change and they often don't even realize they are still allergic. I've seen so many families try to fool themselves that their dairy allergic children have "outgrown" their allergies, all at the risk to the child. What is SO important about eating the lactational fluid of a bovine animal anyway? Nobody needs it.

Asprin, cats, rodents (I have a fancy rat anyway - she's my roomie), wool, insanely allergic to poison ivy, and pollen/springtime in general. *achoo!*

Latex: Found that out the hard way when I was being treated for a severe knee injury. My physical therapist wrapped my knee very tightly in an Ace bandage, and when I took it off later (because it was itching) my whole knee was swollen with hives. Had to put off my physical therapy until the hives calmed down.

Morphine: also found this out the hard way when I was coming to after my first knee surgery. I woke up and was itching all over, broke out in serious hives, ended up in the recovery room for almost 2 hours while they tried to find something to calm the itching and rash. NOT fun

Latex for me also. Sucks because it is the allergy that was responsible for my sisters death in 1994 (it was a new allergy then). So every time I have any surgery they take forever to prep me and when they forget it is bad news. I am also allergic to adhesive so that gets to make for even more fun during surgeries. I had one surgery in Germany and they called in special people for me due to my complications.

I am horribly allergic to some antibiotic (i think) called Ceclor. Also Abilify. My doctor wanted me on Abilify when they switched my Epilepsy meds because he said it would probably cause me to be depressed... I literally took a half of the smallest dose of Abilify, and I was shot. I couldn't walk, I was throwing up... soooo dizzy. As if I was on a rollercoaster!

I am also allergic to a few different anesthesias. So when I get a surgery I have to get a little patch behind my ear to keep me from being nauseated or dizzy.

As far as food, plants and natural things... pretty much only excess amounts of tomato sauces and cedar trees.

I'm one of those people sensitive to insect bites. Not only do they just love to bite me, but even the smallest bites become welts. I've had spider bites swell up to half-dollar size.

Nothing severe for me. I was always convinced I never had allergies because the symptoms were never consistent. I can be by flowers and pollen and all that and be fine, but sometimes even under similar conditions, I'll get itchy eyes and my nose gets plugged up. I'm very happy I don't have anything worse than that.

I seem to have some spring allergies... runny nose, watery eyes. I also swell up if I get stung by a bee. = ( But other than that, Im very lucky to not be allergic to anything else!

Nothing serious but mint plants, wattle flowers, caraway seeds, some air fresheners, certain chemicals and some perfumes trigger off migraines.

Often ice-cream will make me mucusy - but I won't give that up!

I'm allergic to Febreze! Lol. It's actually pretty bad. I've had some very bad experiences with it. I swell up huge and I seriously sneeze around 60 times every few minutes! I've counted! They'll be back to back sneezes. It's gotten so bad that just the sneezing had caused my throat to bleed. Also, my nose will bleed if I walk into a closed area that has febreze. Can't even go down the Febreze aisle at the store!

When an ex found out about my febreze allergy, he secretly sprayed it on my jacket and all night I was sick and sneezy and bloody. He said he felt bad the next day because he didn't know it was serious. I was pissed! Lol.

Besides that I'm really not allergic to much of anything else that I know of.

I forgot, all fur, wool and down. So, I have to use artificial stuff to keep me warm. (I wouldn't wear fur anyway.)

Sam, that's really common. Allergies build on each other. The larger "load" your immune system has to handle the worse the response is. For instance, some people may be able to tolerate their cat most of the time, but when pollen season comes around in the spring or fall, they suddenly find their cat allergy unbearable. Or they may be able to eat corn or peanuts, but when they've been around mice or rats or an other allergy, they suddenly get more severe symptoms from other allergies which often rarely bug them.

I know my nasal and respiratory allergies to mold, dust and things decreased by about 80% or more when I eliminated dairy from my diet. The dairy just overwhelmed my immune system, and any other allergies would go crazy. With no dairy in my system I can tolerate my nasal allergies better (and Lactose Intolerance, which I also have, is TOTALLY different than Bovine Milk Protein Allergy, but you can have both.)

I am allergic to food, basically. I have Crohn's disease, and no matter what I eat, my gums start to itch/sting/bleed for about an hour afterwards. It doesn't happen all the time, but about 80% of the time. I've gotten pretty used to it though. And then there's the stomach pain and all the rest.

I'm also allergic to mountain cedar trees (like, really badly).... and tomatoes give me a skin rash.

I think I truly outgrew my aspirin allergy from childhood, because I'm fine with it now.

Cherries - couldn't believe the hives I got from mass quantities of it.

New locations in the spring - my spring allergies have gotten worse over the years, and I get really severe reactions the first spring after moving to a new place (usually welts with insane itching that lasts for weeks).

Those are what I know of.

Oh, I'm also allergic/sensitive to the adhesive most medical tapes and smoking patches.

When I tried the patch, it took off a LOT of skin and I had a red mark for weeks after that.
