What are you doing for New Years?

Contributor: Jul!a Jul!a
I know there's a lot of traveling going on for the holidays, and I'm curious as to what people were doing beyond Christmas (or whichever holiday you're celebrating ) and seeing what you're doing to ring in the New Year.

I'll be spending part of the day having my hair lady do stuff to my hair prepping for my wedding on NYE, then heading out to our car club VP's house for the evening. And being bums and leaving early so we can get in plenty of rest since we're getting married New Years Day

I don't do plans. Plans always get ruined. I'm the spontaneous type that does whatever pops up.

Well crap, now nobody can top that! :p

I have no idea what my boyfriend and I are doing. We had plans to go to NYC and see the Infected Mushroom concert. But unless he's surprising me with tickets or something, that plan went out the window a few weeks ago. Maybe we'll go out downtown, maybe we'll just stay in and have sex. That's usually what ends up happening when we have plans. Hahaha!

Try to stay up till new years, then wish my wife happy birthday. Not much really, I know but it is what we have been doing since the kids have been around.

A friend and I bought some sparkling red wine on Halloween and we told each other we'd have it for New Year's Eve. I'm going to have to remind her. It'd be cool if we can get a party together while we're at it.

Whatever happens, I don't intend to stay home. I'm going out that night. I never got to before, especially while married. My first New Year's as a single adult woman ... ^_^

How exciting, and what a great way to start the new year!

We're not doing much - probably rent a bunch of movies, and stay up to watch the ball drop at midnight.

Same! My first too! So whatever I end up doing, I won't let myself be boring and stay home and hole myself away and be alone. I'll figure out something.

That is so cool, you're getting married on 1.1.11!

I will be doing....nada. Unless something comes up and I magically wind up with a baby sitter.

My boyfriend will be visiting me at my parents' place, so we'll probably go out to dinner and see Tron or something. It's my 21st birthday on the 2nd anyway, so I'll be partying for a few days, haha.

I'll be lucky if I can stay awake until midnight. NYE is just like any other day at our house. By the time NYE finally gets here I am about "holidayed-out".

I hope you have an absolutely beautiful day!

I'm not planning anything. Nothing happens out in the sticks! I need to move so I can have more of a life.

We are taking a getaway weekend. Leaving the 30th, not coming home until the 4th.

Suite, fireplace, jacuzzi.

New Years Eve will find us eating room service, drinking champagne and frolicking.

This.

Honestly, I'm not much into New Years and we're lucky if we can stay awake anymore with the kids.

I'm not much of a New Years person so it's usually just another night to me, but this year I'll be in South Carolina for Christmas with my mom so my boyfriend and I are having our Christmas celebration over New Years weekend.

There's only so many NYE's in which you spend online with other people online who don't go out, and your idea of 'fireworks' is "Okay, everybody, when it strikes midnight, send out a flame!"

Yes, we must go out, for our own mental well-being.

I have no idea. We usually have a party. Well, a sort of party. Like for all of our parties, our nerd friends who have nothing else to do come over.
