My first online purchase was in 1999. I was looking for some music (vinyl 45s!) and found them online for a very low price. I was almost sure I'd be cheated, but everything went great and I never hesitated to buy online after that.

My wife thought I was crazy when I told her, in 2001, that I routinely bought things online. But by 2003, she was a regular online shopper, too.

How about you? Do you remember your first online purchase? If you can't remember the exact year, take your best guess.

Oh shit. I thought we were talking our first EDEN purchase! Mine was 4-5 years ago, which is why I chose 08, but first ever online purchase? I was 13 and shopping for belly button rings, so it was in 2003

I live by amazon. lol. For a while thats the only placed i shopped online(with free shipping and tax it saves a bunch). Now I venture off to more online shopping sites and have not been scammed except a few times on ebay, but always end up with a refund(so i am left a little disappointed but not outta the cash)

Good question. I bought a CD from Amazon sometime 1998-ish? Ebay on and off after that. Didn't really do any serious online shopping until 2005 or so.
