When do you HAVE to go to the grocery?

Contributor: Lucifer the Cat Lucifer the Cat
I don't particularly like grocery shopping and I'll put it off as long as I have to. I can deal with running out of lunch meat and bread and eggs and milk... but once that ice cream is gone? Time to go shopping!

How about you? When is it time for you to go to the store or what item do you always have to have in the house?

I go grocery shopping as often as I need. As a homemaker that cooks most nights, I need all the staple items available, and my fridge, freezer and pantry are well-stocked.

W/we grow and stock food, going to town once a months if not less to get groceries, would hate to go more often.

We keep everything pretty well stocked, but I cannot be out of coffee - that (and milk) will necessitate an impromptu shopping trip

I live on my college campus, so if I run out of food in my room it's usually not a big deal. But once I'm out of milk, I have to go out and pick things up because I can't drink my tea or coffee without it.

I love to shop of any kind. I go grocery shopping every monday. Normally if I'm out of anything before sunday i go get it. I put off way too many things in life but shopping will never be one of them lol

Bread. I can go without a lot of stuff but if I have no bread I feel pretty food-less!

We work in retail so we just pick up most of those things when we get out of work. Once we start running low on stuff to make lunch or dinner with, we go grocery shopping.

For big shopping I go once a month. For little shopping I go a few times a week. I have to have my blueberry muffins in my household.

I am the biggest lazybutt that ever lazed. I don't go until I have nothing left to eat. I don't cook much, nor do I care if the pantry is bare.
I really don't like going to the store. @__@ Too many people always buzzing around. But, potato chips are my biggest motivator.

I really enjoy cooking, so I always need fresh vegetables and fruits. I always have to have chicken on hand. Bread, because I love carbs. I need my flours, sugars, salts, etc., on hand to make sure I can always whip something up there. (I actually have four different bags of chocolate chips on hand, along with about a pound of unsweetened chocolate, "just in case.") I need eggs for baking, or just something quick and easy to eat.

I enjoy grocery shopping, though. I like finding new ingredients and coming up with stuff to make.

I have to have milk and healthy stuff for the children to eat, so I have to go to the store often. I really hate going shopping. I like when my hubby wants to go by himself.

Bread, peanut butter, and stuff to cook. I mean I CAN and HAVE lived off pbjs, but I'd rather not most nights.

I always do a full restocking every two weeks. That's about the time I run out of dinner ingredients and quick lunches.
