I was in the tub last night, shaving my legs, when I realized that nobody taught me how to do it, I just kinda started doing it, nicked myself and learned. I know many men say their fathers taught them, but what about women, did you mom's teach you?

Both parents taught me, though in different ways. I remember shaving my face (I was a girl, and of course had no facial hair) with my dad, though the razor blades had been taken out, but my dad would put shaving cream on me and let me shave with him in the bathroom when I was a little one, and my mom did the same with legs when I was younger. I had my own designated razor lol.
Then, as I got older I already had the concept, they just let me have a razor in it, and I was already a pro though now, no need to shave my "beard" lol as I realized as I got older, I did not have one!

Given general guidelines by mom then released into the bathroom at age twelve with a Daisy razor and the new-fangled women's shaving gel. So I never learned directly from mom, but I also didn't go in not knowing how, either.

I was pretty young (7-8) when I started to notice the light colored hair on my legs. It really bothered me, so my mom went out and got me my own razor and taught me how to shave.

now tht i think of it no one taught me either.... i was around 11 and my paernts thought i was too young too shave my legs lol...and of course all the cool girls in 6th grade shaved their legs. so ive watched my mom a few times when i was younger and i just did what she did....

my mom showed me, but only the first time. i learned from there on what worked for me - and i got a nice scar on the side of my ankle to prove it

I taught myself how to shave. I definitely ended up cutting myself a few times in the process too. I lived with my dad because my mom died when I was a kid so I definitely can understand why my dad would have felt awkward teaching me something like that. I do wonder if my mom would have taught me or if I would have learned on my own anyway.
I remember saving my allowance and walking 2.5 miles to the pharmacy to get the razors because I was too embarrassed to ask my dad to buy them for me lol

i had my mom do a few strokes on one of my legs 1st b/c i was afraid i might cut myself. after that, i had no problems.

I don't remember my mom teaching me. I was really young when I started shaving though...she might have told me a few things, but there was no demonstration or anything.
