Wii is far more family-oriented than PS3. After Sony's lack of a response to their network being hacked, they can suck my left nut. XBOX allllll the way.

I have a Wii, Xbox and PS3. As a "serious" gamer, I much prefer the PS3. But it all depends on what kind of games you play. If you're not going to be playing FPSs or RPGs there's really no need for an Xbox or PS3. I hate the Wii controller, as someone who sits down and plays for hours. And the Xbox drives me crazy with making you pay extra for internet access and wireless remotes, among other things. Again, I down own and play all three, but if I had to choose one, it would be the PS3, without a second thought.

I own all of them. I prefer the PS3 because of the PSP connectivity features. I also like that the PS3 and PSP are region free because I import a lot of games from Japan.

I basically pick my consoles based on whichever has the greatest number of games I'm interested in, and the Wii won out by a landslide. I've seen only a handful of games on PS3 and Xbox360 that caught my eye, and to me it isn't worth it to purchase a console just to play one or two games. That, and I'm not much of an online player, and the PS3 and 360 seem to focus rather heavily on online multiplayer. On the rare occasion that I do multiplayer, I prefer it to be local.
So, Wii for me! Though the PS2 remains a favorite, as well. Some of my favorite games EVER are for PS2.

Xbox 360 hands down then my monster gaming rig i built myself. My ps3 is for Netflix cause i hate the 360's version then Blu rays and my Wii is for the kids. iPad 2 is fun as well but loses its appeal fast.

Theres no option for "I own both" I own 3 Xbox 360's a Wii and a Playstation3 and to be fair the Wii and the Playstation can't really be compared. I think of the Wii as more of a family orientated system "great for kids" Where as a majority of games on the other two I wouldn't let my son go near yet.
The playstation is sorely lacking in a lot of areas including the xmedia bar. The Xbox360 is much to navigate through than the playstation but that being said I've always been a Playstation kinda gal.
@ Bill & Jade- I totally disagree, I've had iPad and iPad2 and still use it everyday but then I have been called a fangirl many times, probably because there are more Apple products in my house than living things by three fold

The wii just hasn't had enough quality hardcore games for me, but it's still a fun console. That said, I'm a pc guy, preference wise. To be fair though, I pretty much own every single console, ever.

I have a ps3. I love it. I want to get a wii but ONLY for the Mario games. If only nintendo would share and make it for Sony, that would be great.

I own both. I've been playing my PS3 more lately, but one advantage Wii has over PS3 is backward compatibility. I like that I can play my Gamecube games on Wii. If I want to play my PS2 games, I have to dig my old PS2 out and hook it up.

PS3 all the way. Our Wii maybe gets played once a year. Wii's cool if you do a lot of group gaming or like casual gaming, but it's really hard to get some of the RPG/hard-core games on it. I am definitely disappointed that the PS3 took out backwards compatibility though.

Ha ha. But seriously, I guess if I had to choose between those two, it'd be the PS3. I have all three of them, though, and that's hardly a fraction of my collection of systems. My absolute favorite system is the PS2, though.

I like the PS3 better because I can actually use the controllers. I have yet to figure out how the controllers for the Wii work, and it just makes insanely angry when I try.
