Your Favorite Returning TV Show?

Contributor: Blinker Blinker
Me? I've been waiting with bated breath for the return of House, and on this past Monday night, I was not dissappointed. Alas, the birth of Huddy.

I wish I got Showtime to see Dexter and Weeds, but I'll just have to wait for DVD.

Any Gleeks out here?

Or are there new shows you've been waiting to watch? Running Wilde and Raising Hope came on last night on FOX and I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Bless you, Cloris Leachman.

Aww, too bad you can't watch Dexter or Weeds! Watching it on DVD can be better sometimes though, no icky waiting a week between episodes, lol. I am counting down the days until Dexter is back (Only 4!!!)

I'll also admit it, I love Desperate Housewives. It comes back on the same day as Dexter.. (this Sunday, September 26th) I am too blessed :-D

I am so jealous. I have Dish Network and we get all local channels EXCEPT ABC so I can't watch that or Modern Family. GAH!

Glee is my horrible guilty pleasure. I'm watching it on Hulu right now.

But honestly, the two I am most excited about are Chuck and Parenthood.

Aww You can watch Desperate Housewives on ABC's website, as long as you don't wait too long after the original air date.. I think they only keep a few episodes up at a time.

I enjoyed Glee last night. Can't wait to see next week's episode with the Britney Spears theme.

OMG YES. We had a free preview of HBO just in time for that. WOW. It was just renewed for a second season based on one episode! That is awesome.

House and Supernatural (both this week). I tried watching Glee once and all I heard were tree frogs croaking and throwing blue slushies at each other.

I might even be able to catch up on True Blood since Comcast messed with my interwebs yesterday and gave me 3 months of HBO to apologize for me having to drive around for free WIFI (that's a long sentence!)

Did Hung get picked up for another season?

Not yet, but recorded it. I'm super excited to watch it.

And I'm so looking forward to Dexter, too!!

Just watched the season premiere of House the other night, so I'm happy that's back.

I'm also looking forward to the return of Big Bang Theory. How I Met Your Mother and 2 and a half Men returned the other night and I'm happy they're back.

There aren't any new shows I want to see, and all of my shows (except for Dexter) are back.

I'm looking forward to Modern Family. I also like Glee, but I'm worried this season may be a disappointment.

Sigh, I'm kinda worried too. First of all, there's only so much that can happen with a show that follows a specific cast through high school. It has about 4 years (assuming they're freshmen). Also, I was absolutely *mortified* by the racial "comedy" centered on the exchange student. I honestly didn't think that was funny AT ALL.

Dexter! And I have Boardwalk Empire taped and ready to watch. I'm also looking forward to Big Bang Theory and House (yes, I know that was the other night, but we rarely watch anything "live").

Boardwalk Empire & Detroit 187 are both pretty good!

The Brittany character is hilarious! My main concern is that they will try to one up themselves to appeal to a wider audience, rather than staying true to what worked well in the first season. You can even see this happening in the first season. As the season progresses, the musical numbers become bigger and bigger productions and its not always for the better.

Sons of Anarchy. (already going a few weeks, yay!)

House.

I'm missing The Tudors. So sad it's over.

And. Um. Idol.

House and Modern Family. I think Modern Family is the funniest show on TV. Oh, and Big Bang Theory Our Little One has Ausperger's Syndrome and we call her "Sheldon."

She drives you crazy with her logic, but not "getting" people (just like her Daddy) knock knock knock "Mama?" knock knock knock knock "Mama?" knock knock knock etc. We used to call her The Rain Man, so I guess Sheldon is better.

Yes, my children are raised with a healthy dose of sarcasm. It's the only way we can do it.

My Man looks so much like House. Last Monday, my oldest called after House was over (she and her bf watch it too) and said, "OMG, Mama, you are right. I never saw before. But, now that I don't live with him I SEE it. Daddy looks just like House!" He doesn't think so. Thinks House is "an asshole." No comment.

I don't get cable either. I tend to buy the stuff I really want to see from iTunes. It's a lot cheaper to spend $40 per season from iTunes - say I want three shows, I pay $120 or so and get each episode all season long the day after it airs. Cable cost that much each MONTH, so we figured it was way more affordable and reasonable.

I did not know you could do that. I took The Sopranos out of the library (had to call 4 or 5 libraries to get every season) when I got into that one.

You can get the whole season for $40.00? Cool.

Yes! Sons of Anarchy is awesome!

I watched like two episodes of the Tudors and was bored.

And Idol? I may have to rethink our friendship. Just kidding!

I think that's what it was. Might even have been cheaper if you didn't order the high def or something. I haven't ordered anything yet for this year - though now that y'all reminded me, I need to get busy and DO! heh
