Did you get a flu shot this year?

I'm kind of skeptical about flu shots.

The flu shot always makes me sick. Not getting the flue shot for the past few years has not.

I get it every year. I have a weak immune system due to medications I take. I can't risk getting sick... Plus, I've had the flu once. It's terrible.

I don't feel like I need one, but I have nothing against the flu shoot in general.

I technically got it toward the end of last year, at which point I promptly got sick from it... I'd like to say there's irony there, however its pretty common for that to happen, which is detractful to that quality

This is the first year in a long, long time that I received one. I did it mainly because the flu shot now includes the H1N1 and the swine flu still has pockets of outbreak in my area. I had it back in 2010. Sickest that I have ever been in my life! :/

I never do because I have an allergy to the preservative used in the suspension.

No, I refuse to get flu shots.

No. I don't like the overuse of shots these days. Now of you have a person who won't survive the flu that's different but a normal healthy person should be fine with fighting it off. At least that's how I feel

Yes, because I am in a high population area and leaving the house is a risk. Can't miss class/work.

No. They're not effective and I prefer to avoid nonessential vaccines due to the horrible ingredients in some of them. I get the ones that are required, but that's it.

Not yet for the 2013-2014 season, we always get vaccinated in early October.

They are becoming far more insistent on it at my work. It is "mandatory" in fact. Unless you have a specific medical reason you cannot get one.

Couldn't even if I wanted too. Any vaccine can trigger a chronic disorder I have. A tetanus vaccine landed my butt in the trauma section in the ER getting transfusions and I had a good chance of dying. Thankfully I didn't.
You know, they now have versions of this vaccine not made on eggs. Others with no preservatives or other components that cause allergy. Do you know what caused your horrible Tetanus reaction? Might be worth the trip to an allergist to find out.

We both had it one time. It was pure misery.

They have a "small needle" version this year as well as the fact you don't have to get poked at all. You can get the "live virus nasal swab or spray"!
