I don't think people should be shamed for their sexual and/or occupational choices honestly. I mean, someone could make just as many moral objections about people who do jobs that harm the environment or other people but no one ever does. This at least doesn't harm anyone!

I feel it is a personal choice and if someone wants to do this, has fun with it and is honest....then go for it!! I have fun camming occasionally for fun and tips. Shoot, there is not much difference between camming and some of the commercials, much less sitcoms on tv nowadays.

Do whatever makes you happy. Just be aware of all of the consequences that can come with trying to get out of camming for money. There's no guarantee these people aren't recording you to put you on tube sites. That's a decision you would have to make on your own---whether or not you could deal with family or friends finding out.

I want to know why it is such a issue that is coming up lately?
I do web cam modeling and I have never had a problem. I actually enjoy my job. I can make my own hours and I can also be at home with my kids.
I also never had a member put me on any other sites. Yes the possibility is out there but the sites that I am on protect us from that situation.
Also another thing there are a couple of sites that offer just "Friends" so you don't have to take your clothes off just to get paid. I do very well on the Friends area without having to get naked.

I think it's pretty cool that some people can make so much money off of it. From what I've seen of those cam sites, it seems like the girls have a lot of fun doing it, and are often times very creative and smart with the ways they earn their tips and how they market themselves.

If you're a natural entertainer and enjoy showing yourself off, then sure, it's a suitable job for you.
If you are naturally reserved, don't like to be the centre of attention, and aren't good at performing for others, then no, it's not suitable. (I fall in this category, which is why it's out of my league. I'd be about as well qualified as an accountant who hates numbers.)

But I wanted to know why she was asking because she is a cam model her self. I did not know that until I checked out her page. Also these posts are a fast way to get more members too, another marketing scheme for some models as well.

First and foremost I am a cam model I make almost 100k a year and I have been doing it for 2 years. I have college degree in psychology and even if I worked in my field I would still cam because of the money and I simply enjoy it. I have alot of guys that just come in for advice, modeling clothes, dancing, etc. Its NOT all about sex all the time like people think. I am home with my 6 month old son and cam at night after my other kids are asleep. I am an open person and have to say if anybody in my family found out they wouldnt be surprised lol. I do not understand why this has been a topic of conversation recently webcamming is not a new thing to do its been around for years! They also have non nude categories which im also a part of during the day. So the question is webcamming a suitable job for someone? I was offended because who's right is it of anyone to tell me my job is suitable or not? I don't care what society views as suitable because society isn't handing out my paycheck every week!

As a "job", no probably not...but as something to do in your spare time to earn a bit of extra cash (assuming people are paying you to do it) or free stuff (people giving you stuff to "model" for them), that's cool.

I have nothing against it. I do think those that do it (as well as anyone who has a job that is partially based upon appearance) should keep in mind that it's an appearance-based job, but I have nothing against it. I wish I had the typical look to do it as it seems like a good stay-at-home job.

If I met a girl who did camming for money, I'd be ok with it. Heck, I'd probably offer to "help". As long as it's only in front of the camera, I'm ok with it. I'd worry about a partner doing it in public though, too many weirdos out there.

Obviously, you have to be pretty to some degree but you'd really be surprised about who can succeed in the cam modelling business. You have the right idea it is your personality. That is why I have most my regulars all they have to do is see my smile and they can get off just from that. That's another story lol.
