There should be an 'other' option.
It depends COMPLETELY on the guy for me.
In some cases I wait a LONG time. Like, months. But then with my current guy we had sex before we were even through with our first date!

I made him wait two and a half months. He stuck around and thats part of what made him the one because he didnt want me just for sex.

Not really. It completely depends on the relationship. I've waited, I've had sex on first and second dates, and I've had one night stands. My current partner was supposed to be a one-night stand after a drunken night carousing for New Years' and here we are almost 3 years later!

My RECENT ex bf && I waited for a year =/. I'm not sure that was by choice though.
But I had sex with one of my exes on our second date, and we stayed together for 3yrs.
So I have mixed feelings on waiting and not waiting, if I want to be in a relationship with the person, I might want to make sure our bodies fit like a puzzle. ^_^

An other option would be nice.
I have never properly dated a person. I've usually only slept with someone before I dated them. Not the best way to do things. Happened with my current girlfriend, though, and she and I have been together for 8 months. Usually I'm only dating someone for a few weeks or months after sleeping with them.
My gf and I slept together a few times when she was in town visiting a mutual friend for her birthday and we really didn't plan on speaking to each other again. But I started to like her and I kind of had a feeling there might be more on her part, too, so I started to talk to her friendly-like and it just escalated from there.
Anyway, I really don't have a problem with sleeping with someone up front, but like I said, I've never properly dated someone or courted anyone before having sex.

I always had sex with the person whenever I wanted. If the chemistry is there, the chemistry is there. However, I was always careful and used condoms and didn't exchange fluids. And just because I decided to have sex doesn't mean I thought we were compatible in other ways.

I'm also with other. I've never had a one night stand. I have had sex on first dates and I have made guys wait a month. Rarely a month and more likely around a week as an average. It does depend on the situation.

lol. I hooked up with someone once specifically for sex. We ended up going out on dates and considering ourselves a couple AFTER having sex a couple times.
