I love to play with hot wax when I'm the DOM, yet there are times that a relaxing massage is fantastic and more suiting for the mood. So I was thinking of candles that melt into an oil for massages. This is a new product category for me, so I would love any suggestions!

There are tons and tons of threads already on this exact topic.
To summarize, there's about as close to unanimous agreement as you'll find on a site like this that Jimmyjane's afterglow candles are the best massage candles on the market.
More expensive, but worth it. Nice mature scents, not too overpowering for most, good ingredients, lovely mature presentation and packaging, generally nice massage oil quality as compared to other brands of massage candle.
The only thing to keep in mind is that if it's the massage and warm/hot oil you're after, actual massage oil bottled rather than in candle form goes a lot farther for the money. It's just lacking in the ambiance the candles can bring.

Based on the majority's choice, I've looked, and the Afterglow candles are currently 20% off. I think the "Knead Me" one would be great, but unfortunately it's out of stock. :-(

Thanks for everyone's input! I went with the Afterglow, and it arrived this week! Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but very much looking forward to it. Hopefully it will melt evenly as I've seen mixed reviews on that.

Edit: also i've heard the trick with the melting evenly is to make sure you burn it for like 45 minutes to an hour. However, I do this with other candles all the time and they still often wind up with a ridge around them, soooo I'm not sure how well that'll actually work.

You make a really good point. I would agree with you that it needs to burn long enough to become liquid all the way to the sides of the vessel so that you don't end up with a hole and a lot of unused product.

I think the Lelo sounds like it would smell best, but if the Afterglow candles are a higher quality, I'd go with that.

The Afterglows are expensive but they have really good reviews, thats what I plan on getting. The Bourbon one for us (since it's a bit more of a masculine scent).
