Foreplay is something we begin the moment we wake up, something that lasts throughout our entire day, and continues even after the sex ended. To us, foreplay is defined differently than most would. Foreplay = the way we speak to each other, tease each other with our words, and the thoughts we place in each others heads.

Sex is also differently defined by us. Sex = the tangible side of the tease, using our mouths (regardless of the parts we are licking, kissing), our hands, fingers, basically, but not limited to, our bodies (skin on skin) and even toys...anything to help each other orgasm.

So, to answer your question...Yes, foreplay is important. Being turned on begins in my brain; if my brain is not in the mood, it will be difficult to get the rest of my body there.

I'm not sure I believe in foreplay. To me, any activity beyond kissing or cuddling involving two (or more) people with the express goal of physical, erotic pleasure is part of/is sex.
