I think they're a little bit of both. I certainly won't fault anybody for not wearing high heels but I think in the right situations they can really accent an outfit and give somebody both a sexier look and a confidence boost that they do look especially sexy. I'm all for them, but not so much for all day wear, that seems more on the painful side of things than is really necessary (plus there's plenty of medical evidence to suggest that regular high heel wearing for long periods of time does damage to the body).

The girly side of me loves the way they make me feel and I worked in a very formal office for a few years, so I walk as easily in them now as I do in sneakers.

High heels are a fascinating concept if you think about it. I like to have a bit of heel on my shoes. I really do think they look badass and sexy. I steer clear of super-high heels, though, for reasons of simple comfort. Stilettos do look fabulous, though. I know that some women don't like them, and I can understand why - to a certain extent they can almost be thought of as a way to "disable" women (the shoe makes it hard for them to walk, all for the sake of being sexually appealing.) However, I think the added height and glamour they bestow cancel out their oppressive aspects. Anything a person does looks about 10x more badass when done wearing heels.

Depends on the type. Generally, they're attractive, but they always make my partners even more taller than they already are than me, so it's a bit aggravating. I love ballet heels though, those are lovely.

I love heels! I have 2 favorite pairs, one is a pair of Nine West black pumps, and my other favorite pair are red patent leather pumps.

I think heels are incredibly pretty on their own, and can be a really exciting addition to a night in bed. I have had lovers that were definitely affected by the shoes I wore out to dinner, and even requested at times that I wear them to bed.
I find them to be incredibly painful, and don't care to walk around in them but on special occasions I can be persuaded to put them on and romp around

I love the look of heels. My best friend and I are both 6 feet tall and while we do love the look of sky high heels, we sometimes look like RuPaul in them. So I tend to stick to shorter heels. I do have a couple pairs of bedroom heels that are super high with a huge platforms. I figure, it doesn't matter if I'm freakishly tall when I'm laying down. heheh

I love heels, but my ankles hate them. Anything above two inches is dangerous territory (I can manage, but don't expect me to walk much). I prefer solid (but not chunky) heels. Especially boots and oxford-style.
Oh, and short men and heels do not mix. I want a taller guy next time - my last two were under 5'8" and I didn't like looking over their heads while I was in heels.

I can't stand plain pumps-they're boring! But then again I love extreme/underground fashion so I find embellished heels are lovely. Unfortunately I can't stand in them for very long, so I usually choose something a bit lower.

I've had to have foot surgery before for heel spurs and have flat feet, so guess what? I can't wear them. I do occassionally because they feel sexy, but you enjoy making fun of others like me who can't wear them, or maybe are a little wobbly? Think before you make those assumptions, Lauren. I found your comment kind of offensive. I'm sure I'm not the only woman who can't wear heels, but you know what? I'm damn sexy and feminine and sultry with flats and flip flops anyway.

I LOVE heels and the way they make me feel, but I don't wear them all the time. I do go through periods that I wear them more often than usual though, and I find the more I wear em the better I can walk in them. My man loves when I wear them, so if I wanna get laid.. just put on some super high, open-toed stilettos and I'm pretty much guaranteed action! I also love the way they make my legs look, but I don't wear them for extended periods of time if possible because I have somewhat wide feet and my toes can get pretty cramped. If my feet aren't happy, neither am I.

As far as a woman not being a woman until she can wear heels, that's just not true and hasn't been implied. If you are confident and feel sexy in your flats or flip flops, you'll look sexy in them. If you are confident in your kick ass 6 inch heels, then you'll look sexy in them. If you are uncomfortable or self conscious in either, then you probably won't.

I used to wear high heels like a pro. Since I've had kids I can't walk in sneakers without tripping over my own feet so I don't dare wear them now, not worth the risk!

I love them, but my feet have been very unhappy with them lately. I get this weird pain between the balls of my feet and my toes, so I've been sticking with flip flops and slippers lately.

I love wearing heels, especially during sex! They make me feel really sexy and during doggie they even give me a little help because I'm usually on my tippy-toes anyway because my guy is so tall. I also like being on my back and him holding onto them, but unfortunately he typically would rather me just take them off He's just not that into it I guess =/
