Do you and your partner use pet names?

We often call each other names (good and bad... lol) and I don't think it has an impact on our sexual tendencies.

Wow! I'm surprised to hear that. I totally do not understand how pet names damage or take the mystery out? That sounds a little silly to me. My partner & I have been together for 5 years now & he's always had names for me "Mrs. B," Doll-face, etc. I have 1 or 2 for him & we're still very excited with each other. We haven't "lost the mystery," or damaged anything. I actually think some pet names (excluding ones like booger!) could be kind of a good thing. I wouldn't say we're one of those all over each other couples, but we do have a very liely & exciting relationship! There's always new things with us. Anyways, I think some pet names could maybe add to a relationship. If the pet name is something complimenting, it could be a good thing.

I would certainly have to disagree with that. My partner & I have been together for 5 years and he's always used pet names for me like "Mrs. B," Doll-face, & the regulars like sexy & all those very kind compliments. I also have 1 or 2 for him. We aren't one of those all-over-each-other-al l-the-time couples, but we have an extremely exciting love/sex life. It NEVER gets old! I don't believe that pet names have caused our reltationship damage or to "lose the mystery." Seriously, that's a little over the top. I think if anything, some pet names (that are complimenting) can add to rather than take away. I know I feel damn good every time any "sexy lady!" comes out of his mouth. Even the "Mrs. B" or just baby really makes me feel good. I mean after 5 years you'd think "baby" would get old, but when he does occasionaly say it, I'm reminded of something sweet. Not sure what it is about it, but it does make me say "Aww!" Lol.

I have tons of "pet names" for my dogs and my boyfriends. Theyre usually really silly but I mostly call my bf "lover", even tho I call my dogs "lover" too. I often call stuff I love "lover".... "loverface" or "lover-butt" are common as well.

I've never seen a correlation between sex life and pet names...and I tend to use cutsey nicknames for most of my friends regardless of romantic relationship, so doubt it really means anything

She: I used to call him "Love", then I was sick and called him "love face", then I got sicker and also tired and just decided "face face" was a good name. It still comes out when I'm sleepy or being silly.

He: Cappy came from the Red vs Blue episode with Captain Flowers.

She: Wow.. I always thought it was because I like sailing. But no.

He: It doesn't mean it can't be from both.

She: yeah, but it's not

I'm his hunny bunny, baby doll, or good girl and he is my teddy bear or cave man. We can tell what mood the other is in by the names we use.
