If he says my given name it means I'm in trouble or there's a serious conversation coming on. if I say his name it just means I'm talking to him. We have a couple personal pet names, but also use generic "sweetie"

We call each other by the first letter of our names. It started out with emails, because while we were still getting to know each other, we'd sign off that way. Suddenly, we started adding "my dear" and "sweet" to the letters, and then we just started doing it in person. It's nice because his name is the same as an evil ex of mine, so not calling him by his real name has been kind of nice. He likes to call me "my dear," "my dear slut," "darling," and the occasional "baby." I love them all.

He often calls me Danae, my middle name and sometimes Mrs. B and in private doll-face. I have one for him that I made up when we first got together "luffin" it's the drunk way of saying "love-muffin!" Ha HA!
