Every now and then my husband buys me flowers "just because". My mom always thinks it's because he's "in the dog house" and is trying to butter me up but my husband has never bought me flowers because we were fighting. no ones ever bought me flowers, I don't really care because I think they're wayyy too expensive for something that will die in a week but still, it would be kinda cool.

My husband never buys me flowers because I've told him not to. They'll just die and then he's wasted money. I'd much prefer a card or jewelry or something else that will last. Even a stuffed animal would be preferred. He doesn't do those things unless there's an occasion to do so. If he's just trying to be sweet, he'll usually do something around the house. Now that I'd take over flowers any day!

I'm sure The Boyfriend would buy me flowers if I didn't, at the very beginning of our relationship, demand that he never buy me flowers. I've told him that if he ever wants to buy me anything, buy me something I can actually use, buy me something that I can show off to people, buy me something that I can place on my mantle and remember forever that you bought it for me. Don't waste precious and hard-earned cash on something that's going to die in a matter of days. In a year, I won't even remember that you bought them for me.
I'm also not a flower-type of girl. I'd rather you save your money and buy me a guitar or a vibrator or a domain name... hahaha.

I am not a fan of flowers, so I have never gotten them. Sometimes the sweet hand picked it will last for a little while one is nice. However, I have gotten a picture of wild flowers growing some place on the side of the road sent to me via our phones with the though...'This made me think of you.'

He used to get me flowers just because. Often he'd get me blue and purple orchids. Or for our anniversary. He has gotten me flowers once or twice when we were fighting. While it's sweet, flowers don't resolve anything.

I don't buy any flowers for my Baby, only pick some for her sometimes, and she is totally crazy for them. Though she doesn't like the mere fact that the plants "get hurt/killed" that way, but I always make her all enamored and shrieking around happily. (And I do it just because, no specific reason.)
