Have you ever...

Yes and it was soooo out of the blue. It wasn't really a fight but Hubby was teasing the kids at the dinner table and I fussed at him for it. Next thing I know mashed potatoes flew across the table. That was immediately followed by corn kernels. I wasn't amused at the time because of the example he was setting. The boys were drawn into it as well. After hubby cleaned it all up I did get payback. I tossed the rest of the potatoes back at him. It was more entertaining to clean him up

No, I wouldn't want to clean up the mess after. If it was outdoors and there was a water hose available, and it was summer.. then it might be okay.

judging by the fact that this is in the Long Term Relationships forum, I'm guessing you mean within a relationship Nope, never, just when I was a kid with friends.

It wasn't a real fight, but it did involve food. Back when we were still in our early dating stage we went with a friend to a Golden Corral. What started out as playfully throwing straw wrappers and balled up napkins at each other quickly escalated to me having an entire salad mixed into my drink.

Yes, it was immature and childish, but five years later we're still laughing about it.

No, I haven't. But, when I was a kid (maybe 7 or 8 years old) I remember my parents bickering about something when we were sitting down to dinner. I don't remember who got the first shot in, but something was said and a forkful of mashed potatoes went across the table. Next thing I know there's a full fledged food fight going on with the mashed potatoes and baked beans. I just remember being so horrified and embarrassed for them, and I know I scolded them both and told them to grow up before running off to my room.

Of course they made up before the food stopped flying, and I heard about "cute" my reaction was for years.

We got into a big fight when I was putting up groceries. He said some mean things and I threw the Blueberries that were in my hand at him. The packaged opened in midair and there were berries everywhere. He is lucky I was not putting up canned goods. It was a good way to diffuse the fight. I mean it was quite funny.

Is this about in general or in a relationship? I would never throw something at my partner. If you are having a fight and it escalates to throwing things, even food, that's not good... Though sometimes we try to get small snacks into the others mouth. Just for fun though.

As much fun as I think that it would be in theory, I don't think that I'd enjoy it quite as much in real life.

I have jello wrestled before, though, which is kind of like a food fight.
